PONYBOY'S P.O.V: I had just woken up to find Bob: Cherry's boyfriend, laying on the ground next to the fountain. He wasn't moving. I could already tell what happened by the look on Johnny's face, the pocket knife he was holding and... the blood. I started to feel sick, so I ran off for a couple minutes to get everything out of my system. I went back to where Johnny was sitting and he told me what had happened. Bob was drowning me, so Johnny tried to save me by fighting back. He did one hell of a job. Once he stabbed Bob, the other Socs ran. We remembered Dally said something about going to a party nearby, so thats where we headed. If anyone knew how to deal with this kind of situation, it was him. We went to the party Dally was at and he gave us everything we needed to get and stay out of town until this whole thing blew over, including a nice long talk. "Don't you dare show your faces around here until I come pick you up in a week or so, got it?" Dally said with a stern voice. "Yeah, a-alright..." Johnny whispered. Dally told us about an old abandoned church up by the countryside, because we were going to have to stay there. We left the party around 4:00 am and walked to the railway, making sure the fuzz didn't see us. Johnny was covered head to toe in blood and I had some dirt on my shirt and I was drenched in water. Man, it felt so cold even with Dally's jacket on. We had a long walk so me and Johnny talked about almost everything we could on the way there. Plus, we were going to be alone together for a while, so it's best if we got to know each other to the best of our abilities. We talked about our lives, Bob, running away and Cherry, which eventually led to us talking about girls. It was odd really, I never got to talk about this with anyone, but Johnny was around my age and he knew what I was going through; the awful thing us teens call puberty. I remember once, I was in front of my whole english class giving a presentation like always, when out of nowhere my voice decides to crack! Gosh, I was so embarrassed. Another time, I was talking to this cute girl who was a year behind me in school, but the same age as me, so we would talk occasionally. For no reason, down there started acting up and I had to cover it with my binders. I hope she never had to see that. I still remember her every now and then. Her name was Rachelle. She was so beautiful... she orangey hair like Cherry's, but a lot lighter. She had soft greenish-blue eyes that hid behind a pair of glasses, and skin clearer than water. (But not literally of course.) She was also one of the smartest girls in the grade, and her body... it was like an hourglass and she rocked it so well. Man, she was sexy. Who knows what I would have done with her if we were alone for too long... just kidding! That's what my right hand is here for! Kidding again! In all seriousness, sadly, she transferred to another school in the middle of my first year at high school. Me and Johnny arrived at the railway at around 5:45. We snuck onto the train heading up to the country and prepared for a horrible time. Little did we know, we were going to have a LOT of fun there.
