Cave of Souls (Short Story)

I hopped into the car and drove away from the college parking lot. Robert was laughing in the back seat and Laura looking very apprehensive."Now that we are out of there where should we go?" I asked my friends. "Let's go to the shop and grab our spelunking gear!" Robert replied. So, I took the nearest exit into the city.

Let me introduce you to my best friends, Robert and Laura. I would do anything for them. Robert has a great sense of humor. He likes to keep our conversations light and happy. I have known him since eighth grade when we both took a class on geology together. Laura on the other hand is a very timid person. She likes to keep to herself and always wants to be able to plan exactly what is going to happen. Laura's and my parents are friends so naturally we became friends too. I introduced the two at my tenth grade party, they ended up being the only people that could come. A few days later they became really good friends. Robert and I were pretty much the only ones that could calm Laura's insecurities and make her smile.
