As you know (if you want to be sure, check all my fanfictions. "Tired of Red" is an exception.), I've started creating chapters called preludes to set up you, the reader, for the story.
In the description, I promised to explain as to why this story/series was one half mine, so here it is.
I joined a site similar to Wattpad called Quotev, where you could make stories AND quizzes. I met the original author, Chris, as I was looking through Mianite fanfictions. I told him that I loved his series and that he should make more. We discussed a few things afterwords and Chris asked me if I wanted to be an author (on Quotev, you could do collabs without having to share account passwords). I accepted the offer and BOOM I was now a part of this series.
I went inactive on Quotev for a few months. After those few moths, I came back and talked to Chris once. He told me about his plan for his death.
He was to commit suicide.
I tried to stop him. As a friend and his writing partner, I should have tried harder.
I thought everything was alright when I went to sleep that night.
I woke up in the morning and saw that he was on. I didn't want to ask him about last night, so I carried onto revising and editing the story.
Chris left me a private message asking me to not forget him. I never got to say anything else to him, for he had deactivated.
I don't know if he actually committed the act of suicide.
Let me know if I have to put this story on mature just for this chapter.
