Brendan's pov

We couldn't walk very fast, because of Waverly's leg. I was lost in my thoughts. What puzzled me was why the driver let us go. He didn't chase us at all. There is something wrong about this.

"Do you know where we are?"

"If I knew Brendan, I would have already told you." She rolled her eyes and I thought I was rude. "Brendan, do you see that?" Waverly asked this in an excided manner. I did see. There was a figure moving a few yards ahead. "Hello there!" She screamed.

"You have no idea if that person is on our side or not."

"That person looks helpful." The figure was walking toward us now.

"You can't place your opinion on looks!"

"I just did so ha!" I shook my head.

"We are going to walk away from that person."

"No we are going to talk to him."

"Don't take a limp further! I'm warning you!" She took a limp further. She is so stubborn. I grabbed her wrist and started walking. She had to hop on one foot just to not fall. If she did fall, she knew I would just drag her anyway.

Waverly's pov

There was only one thing I could think of to get the stranger's attention. "Help!" I screamed. The figure started running and crashed into Brendan making them both fall on the ground.

"Are you okay?" This stranger asked.

"I was actually fine. Brendan didn't want to meet you, and I wanted too. That was the only thing I could think of doing to get your attention."

"Cool."

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Rider."

"I love that name! Do you know where we are?"

"Yes, I grew up here."

"We are trying to go to his house to rejoin with our group."

"I can help, but only in the morning. It would be dangerous to go at night with that leg of yours. Follow me to my house." Rider started walking and I started to follow him, but Brendan stopped me.

"Are you that gullible?" He asked. "He could be the driver."

"He could not be the driver. We got to trust him. Hey Rider wait! I got to call Autumn!"

Autumn's pov

"Hello?" Relief flooded in me when I heard Waverly's voice.

"Where are you?"

"Don't worry we are going to try to get there in the morning."

"Alright." She hung up and hope also flooded in me for my friends were okay.
