"You know, Lee, I'm starting to think you're the blind one."
"What?" Lee looked toward Neji in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"Oh, nothing." The brunet walked off leaving a very confused Lee behind him. "That fool." Neji muttered to himself. "Anyone could see that she's in love with him... Aside from him, apparently."
"What are you muttering about, Neji?" You tipped your head as your teammate passed you.
"Nothing."
"Well, fine then." You walked forward, one hand out. You were currently in the first room of the Tower of Death at the end of the second exam. It was a big empty space, and you hated that. There was nothing to reflect sound, nothing to tell you where you were. Open spaces sucked.
When your hand touched a warm body, you smiled. "Hi, Lee."
"How do you always know that it is me?"
"Lee, I could find you if I was blind, deaf, and couldn't smell."
"You are already blind, so that is one thing off the list."
You rolled your eyes and your smile widened. That's when you realized your hand was still pressed against his stomach. Blushing you pulled your hand back.
Lee didn't know why he felt disappointed.
You fiddled with your hair, still wondering about wether or not you should ask the question on your mind. The thing was, you didn't know what Lee looked like.
Of course, being blind, you didn't know what anyone looked like for sure. But you could get an idea by touching their face. When you first met Lee, you mostly just trained together, so you never really had a chance or reason to. Then later, you didn't really care either way. Then the thought of touching him made you too flustered to focus.
So here you were. Standing next to the boy you loved, and you didn't even know what he looked like.
"Umm... Lee?"
"Yes?"
"Can I... Umm..."
"Spit it out, woman."
"Can I, er... T-Touch your face?"
"Sure, go ahead."
"Really?"
"Yep."
"Do you even know why I asked?"
"Nope."
"Lee, I swear."
"You shouldn't."
Laughing, you shook your head. "I want to know what you look like."
"Oh. Um. Well, just to warn you, I have been told that I am not exactly a pretty boy."
'Well, they can all go suck it.' You thought, reaching up to run your hands over Lee's face.
Lee's heart skipped a beat when your hands touched him. He stayed still as you brushed your feather-light touches across his face. You giggled quietly. "W-What is it?"
"Your eyebrows are almost as big as Gai Sensei's."
Lee huffed, but before he could speak, you pulled your hands away and said, "I'm going to have to slap Sakura for putting these lies into your head. You're beautiful, Lee."
Then you whipped around and sped walked away, heat rising to your cheeks. Lee stared after you, for once not rushing to defend Sakura. He wondered why his cheeks felt hot and why his heart was beating too fast.
And why he wanted to chase you down and kiss you.
