The rest of the day dragged along like any other school day. Thankfully there were no more tests or homework assignments that needed to be handed back.
As I practically fell off the bus with exhaustion, I noticed that it was gloomier that it had been in the past few days. I shoved my house key into the lock and walked into the house. I immediately ran up the stairs, heading straight for my room. I finished my homework as fast as I could, and plopped down into my bed right away.
Today has literally been the worst day ever. I always want to go to school and I always get good grades. How come I start to mess things up now?
Next thing I know, my mom is nudging me as she whispers, "Sweety? Wake up. It's time for dinner."
I slowly open my eyes and roll out of bed. I can smell the fresh baked tocos that are sitting downstairs waiting for me. I practically inhale my dinner and jump in the shower hoping to rinse off the stench of my failure. I step out of the shower to see that it is only 8:30. I decide to go to bed anyway because I figure that a little extra sleep can't hurt.
I wake up after what feels like about ten minutes to the sound of my alarm clock. I look at the time and sigh when I see that it is actually 5:45 a.m. I throw on some leggings and a oversized sweatshirt. Then, I throw my hair up in a messy bun. Honestly, I don't care. It's not like my day could be any worse than yesterday.
I walk into the bathroom and switch on the light. The first thing I see when I look in the mirror is horrific. I see one of those gigantic pimples that no amount of makeup can cover up, right on the tip of my nose!
There is no way I can cover that up. Obviously the world is just out to get me.
I let out a frustrated scream as I stomp down the stairs to go eat breakfast.
