Hazel was a typical 15 year old girl- she was neither popular or unpopular and had decent looks. Mostly everyone knew her because of her good grades and great reputation. She was very focused on school being the smarty pants she is.
Marcus was a popular 16 year old boy- he was popular and had great looks. Although he was popular, he liked to focus on school as well as Hazel. These two had never met in their whole life even though they attended the same elementary school for 5 years, were in the same middle school, and are in the same high school.
A foggy afternoon on November 3rd, Hazel was just about to leave her language arts class when a boy bumped into her. Her big binder fell to the floor with a loud bang! Some of her papers fell out. The book that was on top of her binder also took a fall. Hazel was about to reach to pick her schoolwork up when the boy who had bumped into her fell to his knees and started helping her. Being very shy, Hazel silently picked up her book and stood up. The boy had grabbed her papers and big binder. He looked her straight into her eyes and smiled at the view.
"I'm so sorry for bumping into you, I really didn't mean to. I was just rushing to this class because I forgot my favorite pencil here. Okay, that may sound dumb, but my mom gave me that pencil and I really like it. Don't tell anyone, it'll be our little secret." There was a sparkle in his eyes, Hazel could tell he was telling the truth. Now came the talking part...
"I won't tell........ Don't worry, you can trust me. I have to get to class, nice meeting you."
"Wait, my name's Marcus, what's yours?"
"Um my name is-" Before she could answer, another boy showed up.
"-Her name's Geek Girl, ain't it girl?"
"C'mon man, be nice to her."
"Marcus you shouldn't be talking to girls like her."
"I can talk to whoever I want Aiden." He turned back to where Hazel was standing, but didn't find her. "Look what you did, you scared her away! She didn't even tell me her name. I've got to go to my next class, see you later Aiden."
But before he walked out of class, he found a blue book on the ground. Marcus took it and ran to his next class. As he entered his next class, he observed the book. Inside were various drawings, all amazing and beautiful. I need to find the owner of this book, thought Marcus. As he thought who the book could belong to, he realized it must belong to the girl!
Marcus searched everywhere for her, in all his classes, at lunch, and after school, but he couldn't find her. Meanwhile, Hazel was panicking about her loss. She had all of her precious drawings in there and couldn't bare to know who had their hands on her valuable book.
