The school day progressed normally, with the delinquents taking their usual places in front of the school's incinerator and Ayano Aishi stalking her senpai, Taro Yamada.

During lunch, Kokona and Saki met on the school rooftop to talk about Kokona's big secret.

"So, what was it that you wanted to talk about? Is there something bothering you?" Saki inquired.

"Oh, well, it's nothing..."

"If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine. But, remember, I'm your friend, and I won't judge you for anything."

"Well, the thing I wanted to talk to you about is that, ever since my mom died, my dad's been drinking a lot, and sometimes, when he's drunk, he comes into my room and... Ugh, just forget I said anything. I really, really don't want to talk about it right now."

"Wha-?! That sounds really serious!!! What does your dad do?"

"Look, I said I don't want to talk about it right now. Just, leave me alone, okay?"

"You don't have anything to be ashamed of! Just, tell me what's wrong."

"I'm not going to say anything else. Please, just drop it."

"*sigh* Fine, if you say so. But, now I'm really worried."

With that, they left their spot on the roof to head to their respective classrooms.

*sigh* If only it weren't so hard to just tell Saki-chan that my dad's in debt and I'm trying to make money fast, but in gross ways... Maybe she can help me. Maybe... but I don't want to get her too involved in my problems. It would worry her too much. Kokona thought on her way to her seat in class 3-2.

She was too caught up in her thoughts that she wasn't watching where she was going, and the next thing she knew was that she accidentally bumped into someone and fell down.

"Oh, my gosh! I'm so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going!" Kokona quickly apologized.

"No, no, no, no, it's fine! It was my fault! Here, let me help you up." A male voice responded.

Kokona grabbed the hand in front of her and lifted herself up. When she looked up she saw a boy with purple hair, much like hers, in a messy, cute style.

Kokona POV

This boy is kind of cute.

"Thanks" I said with a smile.

Wait! I should ask his name and class number before he leaves.

"What's your name? I'm Kokona." I asked.

"Huh? Oh, my name's Riku. It's nice to meet you, Kokona-chan!" he replied back. He then mumbled something unintelligible under his breath. I just let it go, because he obviously didn't want me to hear him.

"So, Riku, what class are you in?"

"I'm in class 3-2. How about you?"

"That's an odd coincidence. I'm in that class, too!"

"Hey, do you want to walk to class together, since we're basically going in the same direction?"

I mean, I didn't have anyone else to talk to on the way to class, so there was no reason to say no to him.

"Sure!" With that we walked to class.

Riku POV

-In Class-

That girl, Kokona, looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I can't believe I didn't see her in class before lunch! I have to talk to her more often, she just seems so, so, perfect! I thought to myself as Sensei was teaching the class. I couldn't concentrate. The only thing on my mind was Kokona.

-Time Skip to after class-

After class, I decided that I would ask her out after school. The only problem with that is I'm too shy to just walk up to her and ask her out. Another problem with that is that she bolted out of class as soon as the bell rang. I decided to follow her.

She went inside of the cooking club and began making cute little octodogs for the other girls in the club. I was mesmerized by her movements as she was cutting them, and, before I knew it, she was done and serving them to her friends. I guess asking her out will just have to wait. I think it would be best if I just watch her from afar until the moment is right.
