The new school year had just started for Akademi High's students. Students were rushing around the campus trying to find their respective classrooms while some were talking with their friends about exciting things they did over the summer.
"So, Kokona-chan, how was your summer?" Hatsune Miku lookalike Saki Miyu asked her best friend.
"Oh, well, it was... interesting, to say the least... Anyway, how was yours?" social butterfly Kokona Haruka responded. She had a secret that would likely get her in trouble with the guidance counselor and ruin her high reputation.
"Are you sure? You seem as if there's something bothering you. Do you want to talk about something?" Saki asked.
"O-oh, uh, well, actually, there is something I wanted to talk with you about. Can you meet me at the school rooftop at lunch?" Kokona said, deciding it was best to confide in her best friend rather than keeping it bottled up inside.
