On their way to Mount Solis, the group of Dragon Slayers peered up towards the sky above. Enjoying the brilliance of the sun above, wondering how the people of this so called “Holy Mountain” could cope without sun. After all the sun was rumored to give life to the entire world. The plants at their very feet, the sky for which they loved to gaze upon. And of course the people of their planet which needed the sun in order to survive. The fact was every living creature on Earth needed the sun for its gentle light and it's overall nutritious factors. So how could these people live without sun? A world without sun was a dark and desolate place. How could these people continue to live out their days without something they had loved and cherished for so long?

Wendy Marvell continued to hike with her trusty Exceed Carla by her side. Who continued to merely hover in the air with the “Tom cat” or Exceed Happy she was so fondly of calling him. “How can these people just live in the dark like that? I mean wouldn't you lose your mind? Only seeing pitch darkness everyday?”Wendy questioned still not able to come to terms with the fact that these people were able to live without such a brilliant source of both life and power. “Beats me kid,all I know is I'm gonna find this dragon and beat some sense into it.”Gajeel stated as he cracked his knuckles, all the while showing off his trademark toothy smirk. “Now,Now Gajeel. We can't be too wreckless. We're talking about a Dragon here.” The Exceed Panther Lily began as he crossed his tiny arms over his chest. “Panther Lily is right Gajeel. You three are infact Dragon Slayers trained to kill Dragons. But that isn't what we came here to do. We came here to help these people. Not kill their Deity.” Carla pointed out as the snow white Exceed rubbed her head in annoyance. Already feeling a headache forming when it came to talking to the hard headed Gajeel.

“Carla’s right,if we kill their Dragon they will consider us a threat. There's no telling what these people could do when backed in a corner.” Wendy said, her words ringing in the ears of everyone in sight. Carla couldn't help but to smile, impressed at how mature little Wendy had become since joining Fairy Tail. And she was so proud. “Fine, then what do we do exactly?”Gajeel asked and to this Natsu stood in front of them showing off his toothy smile. “Easy! Let's just find these people and talk to em. They did ask for Fairy Tail and here we are. They gotta still want our help right?”Natsu pointed out as none other than the blue Exceed Happy chimed in “Aye Sir!” causing everyone even Gajeel to chuckle.

As the three Dragon Slayers and Exceeds continued their conversations. Each of them immediately became dead silent due to what they were indeed seeing. Before them only a few hundred feet was a vast mountain so tall it appeared to pierce the very sky itself. But the sky was vastly different from what they had known. It was bright and beautiful with the sun’s glow radiating throughout the sky. Yet they sky around the mountain itself was pitch black, with heavy clouds looming above. It was then that the group knew they had reached their destination. Mt. Solis. Happy peered up towards the black sky, already feeling a chill run down his spine. “I don't like it here,Natsu.” He murmured as the blue cats ears drooped quite abit showing all he was infact both nervous and sad. “We can't turn back now,we're already here buddy.” Natsu said with a condiment grin. Yet despite his smile even Natsu could feel something was off. And he didn't need the strange discolored sky to tell him that. Something was wrong. And it wasn't just about the absence of the sun. It was more than that.

Leading the group forward Natsu continued to scale abit of the mountain. In search for the village that had called for their help, but due to the sun’s absence it was quite difficult to even see where they were going. It was so bad infact that the group had to indeed hold hands so that one or the other wouldn't become lost in the darkness. “How are we suppose to find this village? We can't even see our own damn hands.”Gajeel spat in annoyance as he tripped over another rock for the 10th time already. “I don't know,Master said it was at the base of the mountain.”Wendy pointed out as she blinked a few times, trying her best to have her eyes adjust to the lack of light. But as the others were complaining about the lack of light Natsu was strangely calm. He found himself quietly leading the way through the darkness before finally his sensitive ears picked up on some voices nearby.

“We're close,I can hear people!”Natsu shouted through the darkness to his friends. As the group continued to wade through the darkness before coming across a small village. Built in the very base of Mt. Solis itself. Each hut was crafted by hand from stone and wood while the look of the village seemed to be quite simple. It appeared these people lived mediocre lives. That was until Wendy and Natsu came across two very large statues. One was of a massive winged dragon whom appeared to have the entire village itself wrapped within its wings. Almost as if it was protecting the village. And then there was a broken statue of a woman. From what they could tell she was quite beautiful despite having half of her body destroyed. The woman seemed to have her left hand outstretched towards the village and held a smile that could light up the entire sky.

“She's beautiful.”Wendy whispered into the air, unable to look away from the statue. And in truth neither could Natsu. There was something about the woman that drew him in,he just couldn't quite put his finger on it. It was almost as if he had met her before. “She is isn't she?”An elderly voice said, interrupting Natsu’s thoughts. He then turned to see an old man,he was a man of ebony skin yet his hair was kissed by the winters snow. The old man smiled towards the group despite the situation. “I assume you are the wizards of Fairy Tail, welcome to Solis. I am the Headman of the village.”He introduced while carefully using his wooden cane to walk towards the group.

“Nice to meet you sir,I'm Wendy.”Wendy began as she also introduced Natsu and the others to the Headman’s joy. “Your Dragon Slayers? Then perhaps you can help us. Please follow me into my home.”The Headman stated as he then led the 6 of them into his warm hut where his wife prepared warm tea for them to enjoy. “Can you tell us more about dragons? We've often heard only myths  in Magnolia.”Wendy stated as she sipped the warm liquid.  The Headman smiled towards her curiosity as he settled himself into his chair. “Of course child. Our history states that the entire world was created by a single dragon. This dragon flapped it's wings and created mountains. It's breathe of life created the plants and water on earth. And the very moment it's feet touched the ground we were created. Man. This dragon was known as the Cosmos Dragon.”The old man began already his story bringing light into the Dragon Slayers eyes.

“They say the Cosmos Dragon gave birth to all dragons in exsistence. And as such became the ‘Mother of Dragons’ but...the Cosmos Dragon was a gentle soul. And watched as man fought over land and power. It saddened it to know it's creations were doing such deplorable things. So the Cosmos Dragon created a small group of special dragon who shared it's beliefs in bringing peace to earth. These dragons were given the ability to transfer their magic to select humans in order to create Dragon Slayers. A perfect mixture between dragon and man. But sadly man fought over the Dragon Slayers, wanting their power for themselves. That was when the Cosmos Dragon had enough. In our village they say that a woman appeared from the very heavens claiming to be infact the human form of the Cosmos Dragon. We believed she was here to destroy us for what man had done. But she did not. She saw how loving our home was and blessed us with longevity. But peace could not last forever.”The Headman began with a sorrow filled expression.

“One faithful night 15 years ago a black dragon attacked our village. Killing off anyone it could find. But the woman claiming to be the Cosmos Dragon indeed took the shape of an all white dragon. With wings that shimmered and gave off a rainbow glow. She attacked the Dragon and saved us but gave her life in return. With her death a new Dragon took her place. It is our Deity the one who blessed us with the glorious sun. This dragon was called the Sol Dragon. He appeared the same night the Cosmos Dragon passed on. He promised us protection and he did that. But one day the sun disappeared from the sky.Bathing us in eternal darkness. Without light our blessings of longevity faded. Illness and panic spread like wildfire. We didn't know what to do. No one is brave enough to climb the mountain into the ‘Dragons Keep’.” The Headman stated drawing Natsu’s attention.

“Why not?” Natsu asked as the old man's hands began to tremble in fear as he spoke. “Because of the Dragon Fiend.”He cried holding his hands hoping to steady his shaking. ‘Dragon Fiend?’Natsu though to himself already curious who this person was. And now dedicated to stopping them.
