Part 3
She held her hand out and smiled. I shook her hand and stepped back, wondering how I ended up here. I thought for a second and
remembered Seth carrying me.
"There is a dress of Leah's on the bed that I thought might fit you." She said, pulling from the memory.
I looked down and gasped as I saw I was wearing nothing but a huge shirt over my lacy black and red thong and matching bra.
(Don't give me that look. A lot of 14 year olds wear thongs!) I blushed deep red.
"Don't worry, Seth didn't dress you, I did." She said smiling. I smiled back as my eyes got smaller. He already seemed way too
comfortable around me. I'd just met him for God's sake!
I felt really confused as I walked to the bedroom to get changed. The dress was simple. Just white cotton with a flower design on the
side. It was a sundress, probably worn over bathing suits. I got bored so I decided to look through my bag.
Lady toiletries, mints, 5 gum (react, YUM), makeup, my IPod, yada yada yada. Wait, why do I have clothes in here? I tried to think back
to before I went into the woods.
FLASHBACK!
"Hello?" I asked into the phone.
"Hey Cassie, can you babysit Trinity tonight?" my aunt Sarah asked back.
"Sure, what time should I come over?"
"Well, me and Alex are leaving around nine so about eight forty five should be fine. Well be gone almost all of the night so you might
as well pack a bag to stay the night." Alex is her husband and they had the most adorable little daughter, Trinity. She was five and
loved me as much as I love her. She makes me play with her Barbies and watch The Little Mermaid all night. It's fun though, seeing
her little dimples shine through her rosy cheeks.
"Sure! I love that little girl. I'll probably come over a little earlier."
"That's perfectly fine, sweetheart." She paused. "Well I have to go hunny. See you later."
"Bye!"
END OF FLASHBACK!
I realized I was crying after a while, and I just let the tears fall freely down my cheeks.
"What's wrong?" Seth said, coming into the room.
I shook my head. "N-nothing!" I yelled instinctively.
He walked over and wrapped his arms around me. My instincts were screaming, "No! Don't ever get close to anyone ever again!
Remember last time?" but I didn't pull away. His scorching hug lasted until my tears dried. We were quiet for a long time before he
talked.
"Now will you tell me what's wrong?" he whispered.
"I'm just confused. I don't know if I'll ever get back to my family. You know the weirdest part?" he shook his head. "I don't know if I want
to go home."
He whispered something so low I could barely hear it. Sounded like 'Don't'. I looked at him and I could almost see a blush in his
cheeks. I smiled at him. Then I realized something that wiped the smile off of my face. I had taken off the large shirt, but never got into
the cotton dress!
"What?" he asked. I had started shaking so bad he held me tighter. I tried to get out of his iron hard grasp, and failed miserably.
"C-c-ca" I stopped and tried again. "Can I please get dressed?"
He looked down at me and I could definitely see a blush now. Not quite as red as mine was right now though. Like he hadn't noticed
before. He smile looking at the ceiling said a quick, "Bye" and left the room. I got into the dress quickly and followed him. Sue, Leah,
Seth, and someone I didn't recognize were sitting at the table eating pancakes and sausage.
"Who's this?" the new man said.
"Charlie, this is Cassie. She's our new house guest."
