Seth's POV

Imprinted. It had finally happened to me. I guess it happens all the time. This Cassandra person, who I know nothing about, just

shows up. I took one look at her and I knew that she was mine.

I walked up stairs, I heard the shower and smelled her scent. She didn't smell human at all. But she didn't smell like a vampire

either. She smelled like flowers and earth. Not perfume, it was more natural than that. I didn't understand, but I wasn't going to push

the matter. I'd ask Jacob how to tell her. But right now, I just needed to see her. She walked out of the bathroom and jumped a little at

the sight of me.

She waved and her eyebrow rose. I couldn't stop staring at her. She tried to get out of my way, and I put my arms around her. What

was I doing? What is making me act like this? She gasped.

"W-what a-are y-you d-d-d-doing?" she stuttered.

"Are you still cold?" I asked.

"It's a speech impediment." She said slowly. "I have to talk kinda slow or I'll stutter."

"Oh."

"Can I go now?"

I took my hands off of the wall.

"Thanks." She said and walked downstairs. God, I need to talk to Jacob.

Outside

I had asked Jacob to come out with me to 'run patrols' but I really just needed him to phase.

Seth and Jacob- Mind Talking

'What's up?' Jacob asked.

'How did you know you'd imprinted on Ness?'

'You just know. Why?'

I replayed the scene where I 'just knew'.

'Ah.' Jacob said.

'How do I tell her?'

'I think she'll understand. She knows about us, so I'm guessing she knows about imprinting.'

'Ok, thanks Jake.'

'No problem.'

We ran in silence for a while.

'Hey have you noticed something weird about her scent?' Jacob asked.

'I thought I was the only one.'

'Ya, me too. She smells so natural. At least it smells better than the vampires.'

'Maybe they know the scent.'

'Let's ask 'em'

'Ok, we should be done on patrols for now.'

Edward's POV

Jacob and Seth came in after a while. Seth was still thinking about Cassandra. Imprinted? Wow, that happens a lot doesn't it?

'Edward? Have you noticed Cassie's scent?' Seth asked.

"My scent?" Cassandra asked.

"How did you hear that?" Seth asked.

"You said it very clearly."

"No. I thought it very clearly"

"What?"

Cassandra's POV

"What?" I asked.

"I thought to Edward."

"What were you thinking about when you heard his thoughts." That was Carlisle.

"And why do you smell like dirt?" Rosalie.

"D-d-dirt?"

"Slow down." Seth told me. I nodded.

"Why are you so hateful, Rosalie?" I asked. She glared at me and started stalking in my direction. I put my hands up and wished for

her to stop. And she did. I opened one eye, and a film of blue shield was wrapped around Rosalie, making it impossible for her to

move. I jumped back and as my hands fell, so did Rosalie. My eyes grew big as ever.

Everyone was looking from me to Rosalie and back again.

"Carlisle? Do you recognize her scent?" Edward asked.

Carlisle shook his head.

"I do." Jasper said. We all looked at him.

"Well?" asked Carlisle.

"She's a witch."

I laughed, "Y'all are crazy! I think I would know if I was a witch!"

"How do you explain all of the things that happen to you?" Edward asked.

"W-what a-are y-you..." I broke off and tried again. "What are you talking about?"

"You were thinking of it earlier. You draw pictures that tell the future. You just did that to Rosalie. How much proof do you need?"

"Okay, so I sometimes draw pictures. And there was a shield around Rosalie so how do you know Bella didn't do it?!"

"I can only block people's powers, not the people themselves." She said.

"I didn't see a shield." Alice said. The others made agreeing noises.

"I can't think straight right now. I'm way to tired." I said. And it was true. I was dead on my feet.

"Okay, I'll drive you home." Carlisle said.

"I don't think you can."

"What do you mean?"

"I live in Tennessee."

"How'd you get here then? It not easy walking distance."

"That's the thing. I don't know how I got here." I said. I started my tale. "I was reading in the woods behind my house when I saw a

wounded cat and I followed it to this tree where it disappeared and I tried to look for it when I fell. When I woke up, I was in front of your

house." I yawned and rubbed my eyes. I was so tired.

"Where are you going to stay?" I don't know who said that. I just shrugged and yawned again.

"She can stay at La Push." Seth said quickly. I opened my eyes and stared at him. I saw Jacob nod from the corner of my eye. I also

saw Leah's glare. Wow, she's as bad as Rosalie. Edward laughed. Oh crap! He can read my mind! He laughed again, and this time I

glared at him.

"What do you think, Cassandra?" Carlisle asked.

"Y'all don't have to keep calling me by my full name. You can call me Cassie or Sandra or somethin'." I mumbled. I don't think it came

out sounding very clear thought.

"Would you like to stay in La Push with Seth?"

I shrugged, "Sure. I just wanna sleep." The next thing I knew, I was in the air, held by two strong, hot, arms.

"Naaahhhhhhaaaa!!!" I gasped. I looked up and Seth was staring straight ahead.

"What's going on?!" I'm pretty sure it came out sounding like, Wass go on?

"I'm taking you to La Push." He said.

"I can walk."

"I don't think you can." He said smirking.

"So?" I grumbled. I think I fell asleep, because when I woke up, I was in a bed that was not my own.

I walked out of the tiny bedroom, and saw a woman standing in the kitchen making breakfast. The floorboard creaked and she turned

around.

"Oh, you must be Cassie. I'm Sue Clearwater. Welcome to our home."
