"So what Que been up to. You seen him around." Mari ask throwing her suitcase onto the bed. I rush over to the door looking down the hall before closing the door.

"Please don't let Deontae hear you saying that name Mari. He gets real mad." I say looking down.
"Ummm I don't care about no Deontae honey." She say shrugging.

"But like I was saying about Jacques." She say but was quickly cut off my Deontae busting in the room.

"You don't hear that damn baby crying!? Get yo ass down there and get her I'm trying to watch the fucking game." He yell but I stand there not moving a inch.

"Oh so you deaf now. Do I have to smack your hearing back into you? Get the damn baby and I'm not telling you nomore."

"Umm excuse me who he talking to? You out yo mind if you thin-" Mari begin but was quickly cut off by Deontae grabbing her by the throat.

"Did I ask you anything? Did I speak to you?" He say through clenched teeth. She nod her head from side to side.

"No"
"Then don't say a muhfuckn thing to me cause I'll fuck ya lil ass up." He say pushing her onto the bed. "Now like I said come get this damn baby." And with that he leave the room.

*Jacquees*
"I really hate seeing y'all leave." Mama say hugging all of us and kissing king and Daijah on the cheek.

"We hate to go and the family reunion week was fun." Daijah say smiling. We give our hugs and final goodbyes before leaving to go to the air port.

"This was fun but now back to the big apple" Levi say stretching.

*Daijah*
"Welcome back to work ma'am." Jay say as I get off the elevator.

"Kinda glad to be back." I say shrugging with King on my hip.

"Hey we got a new baby sitter down at the nursery." She say standing up to follow me down there.

"Well they have to be very good to get past all of those background checks before they let them around to nurse the babies here." I say the least bit worried.

"But look the new baby sitter is-"

"Well hello Daijah" Mari say standing in the door way.

"Are you kidding me?" I say looking at Jay.

"That's what I was about to tell you." She say.

"Don't worry all that stuff that happened in the past was completely my fault and I came across wrong. I apologize and I've moved forward. Hopefully you can do the same." She say smiling.

"I'll give you a chance but if anything end up happening to my baby it's gone be way worse than what happened to you on that porch." I say. She nod taking King from my arms.

"You got my word. I would never do anything like that." She assure me before going into the nursery.

"Keep an eye on her I don't trust that phony apology." I say.

"You got it." Jay say nodding.

*Levi*
"Wassup Levi. You getting your normal two piece plate?"

"Yeah Larry but instead of corn lemme get that okra." I say taking my wallet from my pocket.

"You got it just let me ring up this lady right here." He say and I nod looking over.

"Mari? What you doing in New York?" I ask walking over to her.

"Oh Levi I hardly recognized you." She say sarcastically.

"I bet you hardly recognized that ass whoopen you got by Daijah too huh." I say laughing.

"Actually me and Daijah work together now and we're well over that." She say spinning around and grabbing her food then paying for it.

"I know you Mari. Deep down inside you still holding a grudge because you still want Que." I say.

"Don't be foolish Levi. Que have settled down with him a family and it's about time we do the same thing." She say shrugging.

"As in you and I?"

"Uhuh."

"Together" I ask scrunching up my face. "Because if this is your way of asking me on a date-"

"Boy don't be foolish. You and I would never." She say laughing and pushing past me. Did she just try to play me?
