Remus was very silent for some time. Every time she asked what's wrong he forced a smile and said he was fine. Tonks knew something was on his mind but she didn't pester him further. Remus noticed the amount of times she would glance at the dance floor. Maybe she's regretting going with me to the Ball, that's why she's always glancing at Charlie.

"Hey... um... Remus."

"Yes."

"Do you mind... no doesn't matter."

"No, tell me."

"Well, this is a Ball and I just wondered..."

"Why you came with me instead of Charlie Weasley!" Remus interrupted.

"WHAT! NO! CHARLIE'S A FRIEND! No, I just wondered why you didn't ask me to dance with you that's all. Merlin, I wouldn't come to this if you didn't ask me to."

"Oh. Well do you want to dance?"

"Uh duh, of course. Ergh you're such an idiot sometimes." Tonks rolled her eyes, shaking her head but smiling.

Remus lead her over to a less crowded area of the floor, he put a hand on her waist and the other on her shoulder and started to sway. She sighed inwardly enjoying the moment as much as much as she can. The song changed to something by The Weird Sisters, Tonks' favourite band. He noticed how giddy she got when that song played so he started to twirl her around, Tonk giggling every time he did it. Remus was feeling tired, never dancing so much in his life. Tonks however enjoyed everything so much that she never noticed.

"Hey Tonks," he shouted over the thundering music. "Do you mind if I sit down for a bit. I'm feeling a bit exhausted."

"Oh yeah sure. I'll dance with Charlie for a bit then we can talk for a while until your ready for the last dance of the night."

"Um... sure, I guess."

She walked off. He didn't know what to feel about this. She had agreed to go to the Ball with him yet, she still wants to dance with Charlie. Does she like me or was she just interested in Charlie more than Remus. So many thoughts flew into Remus' mind while he sat at the table, drinking a goblet of butterbeer. Sirius came back over with Marlene at they plonked down at Remus' table.

"Hey Rem, what's up. You seem down for a guy that got to go to a ball with the girl of their dreams. Especially since James is sulking in our dormitory 'cause Lily's gone with Snivellus."

"Hi Sirius. Everything's just amazing, brilliant, just perfect."

"Okay what's wrong?"

"Nothing just... we were dancing and everything's just amazing, then I said I was tired and she said 'oh yeah sure. I'll just go and dance with Charlie' and I'm so confused about her feelings towards me. Am I being friend zoned like Lily's doing to Snape."

"Dude no. Believe me she's had a crush on you since forever so your not being friend zoned. And dancing with Charlie Weasley, well I bet their just friends." Even though she's friend zoning him hard.

"Well are you sure?"

"Course I'm sure. If anyone knows what the ladies want it's me, especially a lady of the Noble House of Black. Well ex-lady. I think Marlene's calling me so I gotta go but remember you have to tell her 'bout your furry little problem."
