We're in the year of 2080. Many things have changed and lives have been ruined.
I remember when they took us to the underground shelter back in 2017 and told us everything would be fine, but they lied.I still remember the screaming and shouting of the people being dragged and taken away. We've lost so much. I remember being separated from my family and being rushed to a different room. They freezed us for almost 63 years and now we're awake.Honestly I don't even know what they did to us those past 63 years. We were fast asleep as if we were dead and we came back. I'm looking around but I don't see anything everything is jet black I don't even know where I am at this moment.I can hear people talking, calling for there parents, crying. I was scared to open my eyes, scared to not recognize the world I was in before the accident.
Finally I decided to slowly open my eyes and look around. People were sitting in corners looking horrible. We were all on the cold hard cement ground. The screams were still going on. There were no windows, just the light that peaked from under the hard locked door.
"We can't open it" said a girl my age tears streaming down her face.
We could hear footsteps from behind the door, weird noises and other people shouting.
What had happened? The girl moved away from the door and a tall guy that looked a bit older than me walked towards it. He placed his ear on the door and tried to listen carefully to all the sounds and talks. I sat in fear not knowing what was about to happen to us. I took a small glance at everyone. They were all young and they all looked about my age or older.
Suddenly the guy stopped listening and said with his deap raspy voice "the rest are a bit younger and are mostly guys, I think we're alone." He stared at a blonde girl and gave her a weak smile before pushing a few people away from the door. The girl stared at him in fear with her big blue eyes. The tall guy walked closer to her and gently placed a hand on her shoulder making sure he doesn't scare her and mumbled slowly "we are all going to make it don't worry" he gave her a weak smile and then walked back and sat in a corner. His dark brown hair was messy as he stared at the ground. The girl fell to her knees and started to cry quietly as she hugged her knees to her chest.I didn't want to stay here, we had to do something.
"Can't someone break the door?" I asked not sure about what I was saying.
The guy glared at me but then stood up and ran towards the door hitting it with his side. It didn't break, nothing happened. He fell to his knees and yelled in pain holding his right arm. I watched in fear as the guy got up and tried again and again. I then stood up and ran towards him as he was about to try another time. He stopped and stared at me.
"Stop" I said. He glared at me and gently walked away with a frustrated look on his face. Sitting back down pinching the top of his nose. I jumped in fear when the door swung open and there walked in a guy with a mask. The others stood up as fast as the could and stared at the unknown man with fear.
"What are you doing to the door?!" He barked. "You guys all woke up today, you can't leave until a few weeks." He left the room locking the door behind him. I could hear his footsteps and I could also hear other girls whimper behind me.
"Where are we" the blonde girl stuttered.Everyone was still standing and looking at each other in total fear as if a bullet was about to hit them straight in the head. I couldn't stand this. I was getting claustrophobic. "I can't breathe," I muttered panicking " I can't breathe" a girl with black hair rushed to my side and made me sit down. "We need to give her water. She's having a panic attack. " she said calmly. I couldn't breathe correctly and my head was spinning.I felt my eyes getting heavy as more people surrounded me. "We need some water!" A girl screamed as someone started banging on the door. "Someone do something!" Someone said. My breathing started to grow heavy as I was losing oxygen. Suddenly everything went dark.
I could hear people, yelling fists banging on the metal door begging the masked men for water. Then suddenly, I felt something cold and wet wash my face calming me. I drank and slowly opened my eyes staring at the dark haired girl.Everyone looked at me wide eyed. The tall guy ran a hand through his messy hair. "Are you okay?" He asked. I slowly nodded. Not a word was able to slip out of my mouth.
I slowly stood up and looked around the room to find a way to get out. I wanted to be with my family, in our house. I've always been very close to my sister and parents.
I went to the door and tried opened it. Nothing worked. My breathing kept on growing heavier and heavier as I kept pushing but my weak body would always fail on me. I got up again feeling weak and took a few steps away from the door and with all the strength I had left I ran towards the door again but was caught as I landed on something hard. His arms wrapped around me stopping me from hitting the door again. "It's no use" he mumbled to me. "We can open it believe me." I said as a tear strolled down my face. He gently let go of me and slowly walked me to sit on the hard ground again. He then walked away to sit with the other guys. I already felt bruises from hitting the door over and over again.
