Chapter 3

Maisie and Lily had been returning to the beach daily yet had managed to avoid the arrogant boys. A few weeks past when the the girls spotted the boys playing once again. As they turned around to avoid another encounter, the same voice that they had come familiar with called out,

"Hey lads, look like they couldn't keep away! Come back for more girls?" the tanned boy said causing all 5 boys to laugh.

"Oi Liam, tell you friends to leave us alone." Lily said to one of the brown hair boys. Liam awkwardly chuckled whilst his friends, along with Maisie looked confused at the pair.

"You knew him all this time!?" Maisie said shocked.

"C'mon lads, lets get going now" He said pulling his red jumper over his head.

"Uh don't be a spoil sport Liam, there's enough space on the beach for all of us," Said the curly haired one as he approached Lily and Maisie, "Why don't you stay seeing as you already know Liam?" Lily mentally contemplated staying before shaking her head and muttering a 'no thanks'.

As her a Maisie turned around to leave Lily was sharply pulled back again by Lulu. She tutted as she tried to pull the stubborn dog away. As if it was a repeat of last time, Lulu was not moving.

"So are you going to stay?" The boy asked once more with a smile on his face.

"Looks like we're going to have to." Maisie said smiling awkwardly at the boy.

"Maisie!?" Lily said slapping her sister on the arm.

"Ah, Maisie, nice to meet you. I'm Harry, what about you Little Miss Sunshine?" Harry said smiling at the girls. Lily glared at Maisie, gritting her teeth.

"Lily." Maisie said ignoring her. Harry nodded in acknowledgement and walked back to the group, now with Maisie, Lily and the two dogs trailing after them.

The rest of the unknown boys introduced themselves;

"Niall." The blond one said as he smiled at both girls. He had a slight Irish accent and wore black, ripped, skinny jeans along with a plain, white t-shirt and a green baseball hat.

"I'm Louis," said the slightly shorter brown haired boy from before, this time dressed in Adidas trousers and a plain, white t-shirt, "and that's Zayn." She said gesturing towards the

"Whatever, I'm going." Liam said walking off up the beach. The rest of the boys shrugged their shoulders, ignoring him.

The evening carried on with Lulu running around and chasing the ball whilst Louis, Niall, Zayn and Harry all played football, Maisie and Lily sat talking on the cold and damp pebbles watching the sun set once more with Drift lying beside them. Lily leaned over to her sister and whispered in her ear,

"Who knew Liam had such fit friends huh?" Both girls laughed to themselves before being interrupted by a loud pop. They quickly turned over to where the noise came from and were met by 4 annoyed boys, a startled dog and the same yellow and green ball, only this time, deflated.
