I was flying. The cool wind rushed against my face as I heard the sound of birds chirping alongside me.
I heard my name being called.
"Heather"
It started out as a whisper, but got a lot louder as I flew further on.
"HEATHER JONES WAKE UP!"
I woke with a start.
My sister began to shout again before I stopped her.
"I can hear you, Iris"
"Ugh finally you're awake. You said we were going shopping today!"
"We will, just give me a few more minutes" I replied sleepily.
"IT'S ALREADY MIDDAY!" She shouted.
I sat up and almost punched Iris in the face.
"Oops, sorry. Why didn't you wake me before?!"
"I tried you idiot, did you not hear me shouting your name?"
"Yes, yes. I'll be down in a minute. Can you pick an outfit out for me? Make sure it's cute".
She exhaled frustratedly and got off my bed. I heard the scraping of coat hangers as she rummaged through my wardrobe.
I reached for my phone and asked Siri to play some music. The song 'Diana' by my all time favourite band One Direction came on.
My sister started singing along and she sat back on my bed with an outfit in her hands.
"It's your favourite jeans and a really cute t-shirt"
"How cute?" I asked her.
"Super!" She replied excitedly.
I got dressed as she paced my room reciting where we needed to go today and what things she wanted to buy.
"... and Georgia texted me and said they were having a sale in- oh you're dressed. Let's go! We can have food out"
She grabbed my hand and I managed to pick my sunglasses and phone up before I was dragged out of my room.
We walked down the street with linked arms, and Iris stopped.
"Oooh! Those boots are just... expensive! I think we need to go the the cheaper end of town."
My stomach grumbled.
"Can we get something to eat first? I'm starved."
"Sure, there's a café on the left a bit further on. Let's go there."
She pulled me to the left and I noticed that I couldn't hear any cars around. Or people for that matter.
"Isn't it a bit... quiet around here?" I asked Iris warily.
"Yes. And I need it, it's so busy everywhere else. Come on pick up the pace, I'm bursting for the loo."
I mumbled a sorry and she pulled me faster.
I heard a bell as we entered the café and I was practically shoved into a booth by my sister.
"Be right back!" She yelled and was gone.
After a few minutes a waiter with a very deep voice asked "What would you like to order?"
"Please can I have a strawberry milkshake? My sister will have a blueberry smoothie." I said, turning my head towards the waiter so he knew I was addressing him.
He left the table and I got my phone out. I tapped it and it told me the time- 12:36.
After a while I got bored of waiting for Iris and got up making my way in the direction I heard her go. I held my hands out in a way that wasn't too obvious just to make sure I wouldn't make a fool of myself and walk into a table. I then realised how ridiculous I must have looked and started to make my way back to my table to avoid embarrassment. Suddenly I was walking into someone.
"Oh my goodness I'm so sorry!"
"Watch where you're going! It might help if you took your sunglasses off, it's dark you know." The male voice replied angrily. I recognised his voice from somewhere but I brushed it off and processed what he had said.
I touched my glasses protectively.
"No, I don't know."
I straightened my posture and strutted confidently towards my seat. I sat down and the waiter put mine and Iris' drinks on the table.
"Thanks" I said, smiling.
I reached over and took a sip of... blueberry smoothie.
I grunted to myself and swapped the two drinks over.
Suddenly there was a whoosh of air and Iris was back.
"Sorry I took so long. But you'll never guess who else is in this café. One Direction!!"
Then I realised where I'd recognised the man's voice from. I inhaled sharply.
"Oh my..."
