"Stay where you are and dont make a sound." the woman said to me.

She was... who was she? My mother... no. She had died when this all started. Everyone over 20 just colapsed dead a few days ago. A friend... mabey, I have never seen her before though. Who was she? The woman happened to look around 19. She worn torn up jeans and a  dull grey shirt that looked liked it had been burned. She had onyx eyes that reveled nothing, and short brown hair. I did what she asked and hid in the tiny closet in my room. The clothes hanging down shltered me from and outside viewers look.

My room was simple a bed layed next to two windows on the furthest side of my room opisite the door. A book shelf was at the foot of my bed facing the grand door's of my closet on the left side of the room.

"You will live for yourself, for your anger, and pain." She said clamly.

"Whats going on?" I said nervously obvious that I was a helpless little child.

"Shh. Knox don't talk, listen." She said as she stood up and turned around, walking to the door.

A sound like forgiveness washed over the apartment. A scream and then silence.

Startled I wook up with a jolt. It had been years since that day yet it felt so recent. A nightmare that lingered behind my eyelids. I gathered my things form my encampment under what used to be a highway bridge. I started walking. Walking away from the place where I had been where it ended.

A scream like the one I heard that night jogged my memory. The scream was so simaler to thw one that girl let out all those years ago. I looked around myself wondering where it had come from. I know what caused it though. The shadows. You could be walking and then suddenly you would have a rod poking out from where your heart is located on you chest. Thats what happened to her. Also everyone else I had known. Dead. It was just me now and probably the last person in the city where I came from had just died. I was alone.
