Harry POV
I groaned as I heard my alarm go off. The BEEP BEEP ringing in my ears as I tried and failed to go back to sleep. Today was my first day at a new school and I was dreading the moment I would have to walk through those doors and face another year of no friends and new bullies. I had been fine in Holmes Chapel. Not happy or sad, just fine. But my mum had to go and get herself a new job in Bradford. Don't get me wrong, I love my Mum but I would have preferred to stay where I belong.
I pushed myself out of bed and stumbled towards my bathroom. Switching on the shower and waiting for the water to heat up. I glanced at myself in the mirror. I was dressed in just my boxers and had my frizzy hair falling into my eyes. I am tall with bright green eyes which I hate along with my hair. Why couldn't I just be normal with straight hair and uninspiring eyes? But no, I had to have the unusual features which make me stand out to bullies.
My sister Gemma had always said that I would be a hit with the girls if I just let myself relax but I'm not interested in girls if you get what I mean. She also said I had a body most guys would kill for but to be honest I thought I was average. Not skinny nor fat but not ripped like some people.
I finally got into the shower and tried to wake myself up. I used my favourite body wash, coconut, and washed my hair. I quickly jumped out and dried myself off heading over to my closet with just my towel round my waist. I grabbed my usual clothes; brown dress pants, a white button up shirt, black socks and who can forget my sweater vest. Once I had dressed myself I made my way back to the bathroom, pushed on my big, black framed glassed and set to work gelling down my unruly curls.
"Sugar" I mumbled as I saw the time, I have always hated swearing, and I sprinted down the stairs grabbing by backpack and ran into the kitchen. I spotted my mum cooking what smelt like pancakes and sat down on a bar stool. "Morning dear." My mum called as I plopped down onto the stool. "Ready for school?" "Ready as I'll ever be." I grumbled. "Now dear," My mum started," I'm sure you will be fine. Just think of all the new friends you will make." She looked so happy, I couldn't spoil her mood. So I smiled warmly back at her and accepted my blueberry pancakes.
I quickly finished them, grabbed my car keys, jammed my feet into my shoes and headed out of the door, ready for the hell in my life that is school.
*Hi guys! Just remember this is my first ever story so I don't really know how well I'm doing. I know this chapter is short but I just needed to get started and I would really love some opinions on what I'm doing :) Thank you. Make good choices ;)
