Chapter 5

We were headed back home and I figured he'd let me be by myself in the darkness of my room but I was completely wrong. Ski was pacing around the kitchen probably waiting for X. I smiled at him as I walked past them.
"Geneva has been calling for the past hour she said something about a date!" Is all I heard as I made my way to the comforting darkness of my room.
I pick up my phone and it's blowing up people must've heard.
'I don't fuck with half these people. What they hitting me up for?' I think sitting on the floor staring at the wall. Minutes later X walks in with Ski.
"You good?" Ski asks sitting next to me
I nod and close my eyes as tears start to roll down my cheeks.
'Fuck' I think as I feel somebody's warm embrace I assume it's Ski's.
"Well I gotta go I have to meet somebody up at the studio. But just know I'm here okay?I got you and I promise we gone help you get through this" He says squeezing me before leaving
"X if you got plans you can go ahead and leave. I'll be good." I say walking to my closet
"Nah I uh..I cancelled. Well not really she broke up with me." He says shrugging
"Sorry...I uh...fuck I'm sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen." I say in a low voice
"Don't worry it's okay. My feelings were wearing off." He says
"X-"
"Call me Jahseh. That's my name Jahseh Onfroy." He saying letting the name roll off his tongue as if it were unfamiliar
"Um..Jahseh that's a beautiful name." I walk out the closet with a pair of shorts and a black t-shirt. "I'll be back." I say holding up the shorts.
In the bathroom I wash my face and change into the shorts and t-shirt. I walk out and see X I mean Jahseh standing there.
"You can sit." I say patting the spot next to me
"I feel like I'm supposed to protect you." He says sitting down
I look at him confused
"I don't know you're different...like a good type of different and something inside of me tells me that we're not meant to be we HAVE to be. They say everything happens for a reason and I think the reason I met you is to protect you and help you. I'm trying so hard or I was trying but it's so damn impossible and I think I'm falling in love with you." He says not looking at me
"But you barely know me." I say
"I can't read you. Your eyes show so much pain but your personality makes it seem like you have no idea what pain is. Earlier you smiled at Ski like nothing was wrong and he would've believed it if I hadn't told him..." He says finally looking up
