Kiryu and M.O.G.U.E.R.A

Mitary courtyard

Riley Becket, a tall muscular young man wearing a military uniform and Mako Moori, a young Japanese woman cladded in a military uniform are both jogging on the track field. After finishing their laps, Mako pants and she remarked," Wow, training is much tougher than I thought."" Well now you know." Riley smiled and he said," Don't worry, I'm sure you will make it through."" Yeah, I hope." Mako agreed. Just as the two were drinking water, a soldier approaches the pair and he said," Commander Gyozen requests your presence in his office."" Huh, very well. Tell him we're on our way." As the soldier left, Riley and Mako followed the soldier. While walking, Mako questioned," Why does the Commander wants to see us?"" I don't know. But I'm sure we will find out."

Office

" Commander, you wanted to see us?" Commander Gyozen turned and he said," Yes. Now sit down both of you, we have much to discuss." As Riley and Mako took a seat, Commander Gyozen said," Riley Becket and Mako Moori, as I understand, you two have topped your platoon."" Yeah, we did, why?"" As a reward, I'm going to give you two a promotion." Mako's face brightened and she questioned," What sort of promotion Commander?"" You two are going to be piloting our new machines." Excited, Riley questioned further," Machines? You mean that robot Godzilla called Kiryu and that mole M.O.G.U.E.R.A?" Commander Gyozen nodded and both Riley and Mako smiled at each other. Commander Gyozen stood up, holding two black body suits and he said," You two put them on. I will see you at the hanger in fifteen minutes."" Yes sir." With that, the pair left the office to change.

Hanger

Riley and Mako soon entered, now wearing a black bodysuit. Upon laying their eyes on Kiryu and M.O.G.U.E.R.A, Riley and Mako's eyes widened in amazement." Holy! Look at the size of that thing!" Riley remarked. Mako nods in agreement. While the pair admire their new machines, Mako asks Riley," So which one do you want?" Riley thought for a while before he answered," I think I'll go with Kiryu. Don't know why, it's just that it reminds of my car Gypsy. Man I can never bear to let my Gypsy into any danger."" In that case, I will take M.O.G.U.E.R.A." Mako said. With that said, the pair began boarding into their respective machines.

Soon

As Riley sat down in the control room, Commander Gyozen's face appeared on the screen." Welcome to your first trial of your machines. Your target is a subterranean monster name Baragon. I need you two to take down the monster before it reaches the base. Is that clear?"" Understood sir." Both Riley and Mako said in unison. With that, both Riley and Mako began moving Kiryu and M.O.G.U.E.R.A out to confront their enemy.

5 km from the base

As Kiryu and M.O.G.U.E.R.A walks along the desert, Mako questions from M.O.G.U.E.R.A," I wonder how does this Baragon look like?"" If I'm not mistaken, I think he's a dinosaur like Godzilla." Riley answered back. As the two robots look around, Riley questioned," Hm, where is he?" As if to answer, all of a sudden, something burst from the undergrowth, knocking both Kiryu and M.O.G.U.E.R.A down. Mako looked and her eyes widened in horror. Baragon roars and he charges towards M.O.G.U.E.R.A. Terrified, Mako began making M.O.G.U.E.R.A back off but ends up getting pinned onto a cliff. Kiryu fires a missile at Baragon, causing it to roar in pain. Riley turns to M.O.G.U.E.R.A and he questions," Mako, what's wrong with you? Why are you not attacking?"" I...I...can't..." Mako stammers, terrified," ...Monsters...dad says they're not...real...they can't be real." Baragon roars and he pounces onto M.O.G.U.E.R.A, causing Mako to scream." Mako!" Riley screamed. Not willing to see his friend in danger, Riley advances Kiryu forward and he fires a barrage of missiles at Baragon, causing the kaiju to roar in pain. Baragon turned and he roars at Kiryu. Kiryu fires a laser beam but Baragon dug underground, thus saving him from the blast. Baragon reappeared underneath Kiryu, causing the mecha to fall. Baragon latches himself onto Kiryu and he began biting the mecha. Kiryu shields itself with it's arm and it punches Baragon in the face repeatly. Angered, Baragon releases it's jaws and it blasts a stream of fire at Kiryu. Inside, Riley cursed," Damn, that monster sure is persistant but..." Riley activates a switch and he continues," I still have a trick up my sleeve." Kiryu opened it's chest cavity and it fires a blast of liquid nitrogen at Baragon, causing the monster to roar in agony. Baragon grabs a boulder and he hurls it at Kiryu, knocking it back. Baragon charges forward and he rams into Kiryu. Mako, seeing her friend in peril, activates M.O.G.U.E.R.A's chest cannon, firing a plasma beam at Baragon. As Baragon roars in agony, Kiryu punches Baragon and it fires the absolute zero cannon again, damaging the subterrenean dinosaur further. Injured, Baragon roars angrily and he rams into M.O.G.U.E.R.A, knocking it down. Baragon the grabs the fallen mech, lifts it up and he hurls M.O.G.U.E.R.A in the air." RILEY!" Mako screamed as she was sent flying by the monster. Kiryu immediately flew up and it catches M.O.G.U.E.R.A with it's arm. Riley said," I've got you, Mako." Mako made M.O.G.U.E.R.A face down at Baragon and it fires an eye beam at him, forcing Baragon to flee. Realizing he's outgunned, Baragon began digging the ground with his claws, dissappearing beneath the undergrowth. Kiryu lowers M.O.G.U.E.R.A onto the ground and Riley questioned," Mako, you alright?"" I'm fine." Mako gasps." You don't sound fine." Riley said. All of a sudden, the screens activated and Commander Gyozen's face appeared on the screen. Commander Gyozen nods approvingly and he praised," Congratulation both of you, Baragon has been seen moving away from the base." Noticing Mako breathing hard, Commander Gyozen questions in concern," Are you alright Recruit Moori?"" I'm alright sir." Mako answered back. Commander Gyozen the instructed," You two better report back to base. I'll have a medic to take care of Recruit Moori. Great job you two." With that, the screen went black. As the two machines began making their way back, Riley asks," What was that just now Mako? Why are you scared?" Mako sheepishly answered," It's nothing, it's just...I never fought a monster before. I parents always told me monsters were not real. Was that...a lie?" Riley answered grimly," Maybe, maybe not. I never fought a monster before but don't worry Mako, we will survive this."" I hope we will."
