Chapter 8

I was disappointed when we pulled up outside the bridal shop.

"Here we go." He said as we pulled up outside.

"Thanks for the lift." I said looking at him.

"No problem and if you need help just called me!" He winked.

"Uh you haven't got my number." I said rising an eyebrow

"I can get it off Megan." He said "Go before your even later!" He said pushing me a bit.

“Okay, Okay" I said jumping out of the car.

I walked into the bridal shop Megan, her mother and sister were all sitting in seats.

“Lauren! You late! Half an hour." She said jumping out of her seat.

"I'm so sorry! I slept In and-" I was cut of my her sister laughing.

“Clodagh! Don't be so rude!" Her mother complained "Go on dear" She smiled at me.

I looked at Clodagh and she just rolled her eyes.

“And your John saw me walking and he gave me a lift over!" I finished and looked at Megan.

"it's okay it's not your fault. We haven't even looked at a single dress we wanted to wait until you came." She said looking around her now.

Who ever was marrying Megan was so lucky. She was so kind hearted. And I knew she would get married I just wished I would hurry up and find the one. I didn't want to be single for the rest of my life! I wanted to have kids.

"Well let's look at some dresses!" Said Megan's mother as she clapped her hands together.

We looked around the shop Megan was practically in love with every dress in the shop. Every time one of us showed her a gown she would be all over it.

“Over here! "  her mother.  pulled out a beautiful dress.

She tried it on. She was beautiful. I was so jealous it wasn't me. I love Megan but that dress was just beautiful on her. Her mom must of saw me looking at her she frowned at me.

She walked over to the other dresses and pulled it out.

“I saw this and thought it was a gorgeous dress but the shape wouldn't of suited Megan so I think it would be beautiful on your figure."

She handed me the dress it was ivory with little diamonds speckled all over it. It was tight dress that went all the way to the floor Then a long trail at the back.

I went in a tried it on. I was perfect only I wasn't getting married or I wasn't in a relationship. I spun around in it. I loved it.

I walk out of the changing rooms to find a familiar face standing talking to Megan's mom. John stood talking to her when I entered the room he turned to me and smirked.

“Lauren! You look beautiful!" Megan's mom squeaked.

“I didn't know she was engaged" Said John in surprise.

“Oh I'm not! I'm just trying on a dress!" I shouted.

We took the dress off and Megan was driving me home.

"Lauren?" Megan said quietly.

I looked at her and she was crying.

“Megan what!" I asked surprised

“I-I think. I think David's cheating on me."

“what!" I Shouted

We pulled up outside my apartment.

“Well I don't actually know yet just. it doesn't matter"

I could see that she didn't want to talk about it so I left. As I entered my apartment I saw a note on my kitchen table I went over and picked it up.

Oh Lauren I don't know if you've heard about me about Jeff's told me a lot about you.

All he does it constantly talk about you. So I got fed up and I've taken him. I've hidden him somewhere and you have 48 hours to find him or... Well let's just say you wouldn't want to know what happens.
