Chapter 9

I kept re-reading the note. Was this a trap? I sat on the sofa chewing my nails. Jeff hadn't texted me or called. I had to admit I was worried. I thought and thought what could I do? I couldn't do this on my own. I picked up my mobile phone and rang Jeff's number.

“Hello?" I said as someone answered.

“Oh are you looking for Jeffey?" A woman giggled from the other end.

“What! No you have him!" I was crying down the phone

“Jeff!" She called. “Oh I have you on speaker you have two minutes to say your last words to each other."

“Jeff! Jeff I'm so sorry I said that about you! And threw that bottle at your head! I'm going to find you and get you out of there I won't stop until I find you Jeff!" I felt tears stream down my face.

“Lauren! Don't she'll only take you too. Don't come looking for me go live your life without me! I'm only holding you back! Just go I'll- I'll be fine."

“Jeff no! I can't live without you I can-" The phone was disconnected. She hung up.

That was it. I was going to find him no matter what! The only problem.was I needed to go find the other, the other killers. I would make them help me! I went into my bed room and put my purple hair up. I put on warm clothes and boots. I didn't care if I didn't look good. Why would I want to impress killers?

I remember Jeff telling me they lived deep in the forest. So that's were I had to go. walked until I got to the entrance of the forest. I walked in the path went straight for a while the it split into two ways. deciding to go straight I took the straight pathway. I walked on until the path ended. I would have to walk through the trees. I walked threw the trees. I tripped and fell over something. Then I heard voices.

“How are we going to find out if she knows him." one said

“Move out of my way Ben! Let me do this." I heard heavy footsteps come towards me. “Where's Jeff?"

“I-I don't no J-Jane has him." I didn't know why I was stuttering. Maybe it was the whole point that I didn't have a clue about who he was and he was asking me about Jeff!

“Fuck! I knew she would do this! Are you Lauren?"

“Uhh Y-yeah."

“Oh I'm Jack and this is Ben." He pointed over to somewhere in the trees. “Were killers like Jeff."
