The Aftermath

~After the Incident by 2 months~

You sat down in front of the sea, staring at the horizon "What would happen next...." You mumbled and sighed as you lied back on the sand "Us versus the whole world" Shinoa said as she sat beside you "How's Yu now?" You asked looking at her "He got better... Y/N..." Shinoa said and you knew that something was wrong. You sat up and looked at her "What's wrong?" You asked and she looked away "Nothing..." She said. You turned her head to face you and saw a blush on her face, you two stayed quite as you blushed back looking at her, staring into each other's eyes as time passed. Suddenly you two held each other's hands and Shinoa closed her eyes and leaned in at you "Shinoa.." you said and closed your eyes leaning in at her. "GUYS! WE NEED TO- Wha..." Mitsuba said and you two unlinked your hands "N-Nothing!" Shinoa yelled and you slammed your head on your knee 'So Close, So Very Close!' you thought with regret of not doing it earlier.

"I will try to forget what I just saw" Mutsubi said waving her hand in front of her face awkwardly "Anyways... We need to start moving" Mitsuba said and scratched her head "I think we're ready" you said and picked your bag from the ground and Shinoa got up and went into the building to get hers. After sometime you all got into the car and everyone stared at the floor in silence as you moved "Good to see you Mika" you said looking up at him "Even though you are a vampire... I've seen more humanity in you than anyone else..." Mika said locking his eyes onto you and everything got silent again "I am what I believe to be... Being a vampire doesn't mean I'm bad... Just like you Mika..." You said with a shadow covering your eyes "Hey guys! No need for all this tension!" Yoichi said waving his hands awkwardly. You looked to your side, seeing Shinoa and smiled, wrapping an arm around her and kissed her cheek. Shinoa's eyes widened as a blush covered her cheek while everyone looked shocked, Mitsuba laughed "Like you guys didn't know" she said "Didn't know what...?" Shinoa asked kinda confused "Pfft, it's obvious you two are crushing on each other" Mitsuba replied with a laugh "N-No we're not!" You and Shinoa said as you pulled pulled your arm away from Shinoa "Liar Liar! Pants on Fire!" Mitsuba said and crossed her arms "I'm no matchmaker, but it's obvious" she swished her hair after saying that. "Yeah, Like you're crushing on Yu-Chan" Shinoa replied and smirked, Mistuba's cheeks went on fire as she shook her awkwardly "O-Of course I don't! Who would crush on a reckless idiot who risks his life so easily!" She yelled and crossed her arms while everyone laughed.

Soon after, all of you got in the van, Yoichi drove while Kimizuki sat on the passenger seat, leaving the rest of you in the back of the van. You closed your eyes, falling asleep slowly, the place was really calm, no Four Horsemen of John, no vampires, it was silence and quite for once.

~Inside your head~

You sat to an arguement between Liliana and Nexus "I was more useful!" Liliana yelled at Nexus "No! I'm his demon weapon, of course I was more useful!" Nexus yelled back as Mahiru facepalmed. You stared at them as they rushed to you "Y/N! Who was more useful?! Me or her?!" Nexus asked you as she and Liliana stared at you. You were startled and nervous a bit "You two did a great job!" You said, trying to claim the situation to calmness "But of course I did the job!" Liliana said "No! It's me! I'm his weapon!" Nexus yelled. You sighed slamming your head on the ground "Will you two stop fighting?" Mahiru said and crossed her arms "But-!" Both of them were about to complain "No Buts! You're annoying Y/N!" Mahiru replied with a strict tone and they looked at you who's faceplanted into the ground "Oh! Y/N! I'm so sorry!" Nexus said as she rushed to you "Me too Y/N!" Liliana said, following up to her. You sat up, smiling and taking them in an arm each "You two should stay quite now, no more fighting" you said awkwardly Because you didn't know what else to say and smiled as they both stayed quite at your command, staring at the sunset inside you. "We're all trapped here together... So it's either we cooperate or kill each other" Mahriu said coldly. You stared at her silently, the war wasn't done, it just started.
