*smack on the head*
Eating pancakes with chocolate syrup early in the morning should feel like bliss but somehow I just can't get there.
*smack on the head*
Maybe because of the constant smack on my head by my not so adorable and cute elder brother.
*smack on the head again*
For all those who want to know who I am, the name is Marianne Nicole Tanner. I am 17 years old with beautiful dirt blonde hair and blue eyes.
*smack on the head again*
"Stop it, Joan." I yell at him.
"Mum look, Joe is hitting me." I pout at my mum while she continues flipping pancakes for breakfast.
"Oh stop it, you two! Joan, be good to your sister and don't start your ruckus now. It's the last day of the summer break. Both of you should go do something productive."
Translation:
Get out of my face, you stupid kids. It's my holiday."Well, it was nice having breakfast with my little sister and all that but I have band practice to get to. The group needs a good vocalist, am I right or am I right?" Such a wannabe I tell you.
And when he says band practice, he means that noise they call music.
They often practice in one of his friends' garage or ours. Today, I am just grateful that it's not in ours.
I don't need that kind of torture first thing in the morning!
I wonder how people even like the stuff that they play. It just adds to noise pollution, if you ask me.
"Hope you get some fans today." I mock smile at him. He just walks away after showing me his tongue. And I repeat, he is my 'older' brother.
I just hope he trips over something and damage his already very damaged head.
But my prayers seem unanswered.
Sigh.
I look up and my mum who is smiling sweetly at me. And believe me when I say, it's a terrifying sight.
She only smiles like that when she wants something impossible.
"So... did I inform you that we have new neighbours?" I wonder where this conversation is leading so I decide to stay silent. That's always the safer option.
"Well I kind of set up a date for you and the new boy moving in. How cool is that, right?" She grins.
Consider my jaw officially dropped.
How can my own mum set me up on a date? Doesn't she know how stupid that sounds?
Which normal mother sets up a date for her daughter?
This woman is crazy.
But there is no use arguing with her. Once she decides that she wants something, she gets it.
Sigh. Again.
"When, where and with who?" I ask, trying to compose my self from all that anger building up.
Her smile just broadens if that's even possible. Then again is my mum so anything is possible.
"Ah, I knew you would agree. To answer your questions, it will be today, his name is Nathan and you two can decide where you want to go." She says with a small smile playing on her lips.
"Maybe you can show him around considering that he is new and unfamiliar to many places in this town." She suggests.
"Okay fine I shall do it." And she claps her hands with glee and suddenly something strikes me. Knowing my mother, I guess I'm right about it.
