Caroline's eyes danced with excitement as she studied herself in the mirror infront of her. She wore her favourite strapless sapphire dress that fit her body perfectly. Her blond hair pinned back with lose strands of curls hanging from her face. She had to admit, she did look stunning. And she was without a doubt excited to have a great night tonight.

Tonight her mum, Liz Forbes, also known as the Sheriff of Mystic Falls - had planned a gathering. Liz had decided to invite most of the community to have a party. Caroline was confused about her mothers decision on this, as Liz wasn't a 'party person,' but Caroline didn't refuse - she loves a good party.

"Caroline, could you please help me?" Her mother looked stressed as she pulled her long black dress over her body, "there's about fifty to sixty people coming tonight and-

"I've got it under control Mum, relax." Caroline smiled before putting in her silver hoops. Liz slightly smiled before the door bell rang, making her jerk her head towards the door.

"That's just Elena," Caroline said, "she wanted to come around early and help out."

Liz sighed in relief before pointing to her dress, spinning around for Caroline. "What do you think?"

"Looks good," Caroline smiled before walking over to the door, unlocking the handle to let Elena in.

"How come your doors locked?" Elena asked, looking beautiful in her black and white dress - her hair in a simple bun.

Caroline laughed before raising her eyebrow at Elena, "My mother is the Sheriff, El."

Elena smiled before peering around the room, admiring the great job Caroline and her mother had done. There were blue and white balloons floating on the roof, with white streamers drooping around the room. It did look spectacular.

"Wow, this looks great!" Elena exclaimed with a grin planted on her face.

"It better be." Caroline laughed, "It took mum so long to make everything perfect. It was literally driving me nuts!"

Elena laughed before looking around the room once more, "it'll be a great night. Who's coming?"

"Mum invited all of the Mystic Falls community." Caroline shrugged before grabbing a red plastic cup from the table, "drink?"

Elena grinned before nodding, watching Caroline pour some punch into her cup. She raised her eyebrow as she watched Caroline pull out a small silver bottle out of her cardigan.

Caroline stopped to look at Elena, "oh come on, it'll loosen up the nerves a little!"

"What is that?" Elena asked curiously, snatching the bottle out of Caroline's hands before smelling it.

"It's just Vodka," she whispered before taking the bottle back, pouring a little into Elena's cup, "but don't tell mum - she hates alcohol, so she'd kill me!"

"Remind me why I'm killing you?" Liz asked as she pondered around the house, fixing up some decorations.

"Uh, because I.. Forgot to clean my room?" Caroline stuttered before squeezing her eyes shut at the stupid cover up she'd made.

Liz chuckled to herself, shaking her head before putting her hand on her hip.

"You've become a terrible liar ever since you've become a Vampire, Caroline Forbes. Now give me the bottle."

"Great party Caroline!" Bonnie exclaimed over the loud music as she danced besides Elena.

Caroline grinned before taking a quick sip of her drink. "Thank Mum, I'm surprised she even planned this party."

Caroline turned around as she scanned the room, watching people laughing, talking, having a great time. Caroline couldn't help but giggle as she watched her Mum dancing - making a fool of herself. She loved watching her Mother have a great time. Liz didn't normally get to party and have fun - because she had big responsibilities - but tonight she decided to take the night off.

"Caroline, honey, could you get the door?" Liz shouted over the blaring music. Caroline wondered how she even heard the door bell ring - she shrugged before strolling to the door.

"And who invited you?" Caroline rolled her eyes before leaning against the door frame.

"Hello to you too." Klaus smiled as his eyes danced with excitement.

"Sorry, no wankers allowed." Caroline said before putting her hand on her hip.

Klaus laughed before taking a step towards Caroline, making her breathe in nervously. He leaned in towards her, whispering huskily into her ear-

"I'd be careful what you say, love."

"What will you do? Hurt me?" Caroline said softly, her body tensing as his warm breath hot her skin.

"I'm unpredictable." He smirked before standing up straight, looking into her eyes.

Caroline rolled her eyes before chuckling, crossing her arms over her chest - trying to act rather tough towards Klaus.

"I'd like to see you try."

Klaus raised his eyebrow before tugging a side of his mouth up. Pushing Caroline against the brick wall.

Caroline squeezed her eyes shut before biting her lip as Klaus slowly tilted his head to the side before kissing Caroline's neck softly.

~

"How did you talk me into dancing with you?" Caroline whined before slowly rocking her hips in time with Klaus's.

Klaus grinned before tightening his grip on Caroline's hips, "because you couldn't resist my charm."

"I think you're the opposite of 'charming' Klaus." Caroline laughed.

Klaus shrugged before his face turned soft. "Can I ask you something, Caroline?"

Caroline swallowed hard before nodding.

"Would you ever give me a chance? To make up for everything I've personally done to hurt you?"

Caroline shrugged.

"Anything, name one thing."

Caroline shrugged again before biting her lip.

"Dinner, tomorrow night?" Klaus grinned, his eyes dancing with excitement.

"I think it's much more then just a dinner, Klaus. I'll have to think about it." Caroline sighed, not once looking at him.
