SoHee and her mom moved to Toronto, Canada, while Tae and his mom moved to Seoul, South Korea (this was all in under one year). Tae and SoHee lost all contact with each other after they separate because they were to young to have a phone. SoHee being three and Taehyung being four.
The younger girl grew up in Toronto but didn't know how to speak English. So she was bullied often in kindergarten. She was hurt the most because her mother didn't help much being a drug addict. Eunhye became a drug addict right when her daughter was in the middle of kindergarten and started smoking and drinking when SoHee entered grade 1.
The little girl has to do most of the stuff at home by her self. She has to cook, feed herself and her useless mom, bathe herself, and clean everything by her mom's orders. And she was ONLY FOUR.
While So-Hee works herself out her mom stays high, drunk, or out at a club so it's like she doesn't even have a mom. Every morning and night So-hee cries herself to sleep at night because she doesn't have any decent parents. Her father passed when she was three and her mom is never home. Life hit her hard really early and she wasn't ready for it. Not at this moment. But nobody was there to help her so she had to face it and realize no will be there.
One day SoHee and her mom went out to the store. The little girl kept asking her mom for candy but she never got it. But her mother got beer and other alcohol to drink on the road. They went to the cashier to pay and left. When they got to the car her mom popped open a beer and lit a cigarette. SoHee was in the backseat and couldn't breathe. She kept telling her mom that she couldn't breathe but she couldn't hear. Minutes later they were in a car accident. Her mom lost a lot of blood and Sohee was unconscious. Very soon the paramedics were there and rescued the two.
At the hospital they said Eunhye was perfectly fine, but as for SoHee she had a little bit of amnesia. Which lead to her forgetting how Tae looked.
