James's POV

That was one of the longest bus trips to school I said to my friends Ella and Tyke

"I'm sorry James I was only trying to help" Ella said as we walked into Carthay highschool

"I know Ella it's alright" I told her

"Guys where are your stuff for the excursion today" Tyke said

" What excursion" me and Ella yelled at the same time

"The excursion for SE where going to that big rock what's it called"

"Yeah we know which one but I though that was next week" I said

"No, this week, today we go at 10:00" Tyke said

"but it's 8:30 now" Ella said

"Yeah we should be in umm" Tyke said as he opened his iPad to check "Maths and after maths we go"

"Ok let's go quick" Ella said

We quickly ran to our class and sat down altogether I was so tired

After doing what seemed like

Maths sums i was ready for a break and then I noticed it was 10:50

"Time to go soon" I whispered to Tyke

"Good I'm sick of listening to mr Porter " he said to me

"Yeah me too" I whispered back

And then the bell rang

Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

"Yes" i said as I got up

"James what are you doing" mr porter said

"Sit back down now I haven't said you can get up" he said

"Sorry mr porter" I said

"You can all go" he said

everyone including me started to walk out the door

"James you stay behind" he yelled

"Oooooh your in trouble" Tyke said

I went back to my desk with my head down

"James what did you think you where doing and don't lie" he said

"We had an SE excursion at 11:00 and I couldn't wait and I was sick of your voice so when the bell went I was really happy" I said to him

"I'm writing you a detention slip and I will let you go before your late" he said to me

Thank you I said as I ran out the door to the bus

I could see everyone boarding the bus I ran as fast as I could and I just made it after they closed the door

I banged on the door "let me in" I yelled

Mrs Butterworth opened the door

"Hello James you on this excursion?"

"Yes yes" I said

"You permission slip James"

"Yeah it's um somewhere here" I said aloud

As i was looking Ella came up behind mrs Butterworth

He's my brother Ella said to mrs butterworth

Mrs butterworth believed her because she was new to the school

"Ok get on James we are running late already" she said

I sat down next to Ella and Tyke

"Thanks Ella" i said

"How many times do i have to save your butt it's two already today" she told me

"Anyway what did Mr Porter say to you" Tyke asked

"Ohh he just gave me detention and let me go" i told them

After about an hour of travel i fell asleep into a dream about a portal to a different world

And then i woke to Tyke's voice
