It was an intense battle

Pidge and Hunk had found a corner to hide from the enemies in

Lance and (Y/n) had teamed up against their foes, taking them down one by one, only for them to revive shortly after

It was impossible to defeat the enemies, only to knock them out for a brief period of time

(Y/n) and Lance knelt down behind an empty oil tank

The pair began whispering to each other

"Okay, we need a battle plan. Got anything?" The (h/c) haired girl said, only just loud enough for Lance to hear

Lance nodded

"We need to make sure that we get them before they get us"

(Y/n) facepalmed

"Obviously idiot. I meant anything else that we haven't discussed yet!"

Lance ohhhhhhhh-ed in realization

God... you loved the boy, but he could be such an idiot sometimes...

Lance opened his mouth to speak, but you quickly closed it with your hand

You heard voices in the distance, coming closer to where you two were hiding

"I'm telling you, I heard voices from over here!"

Your heartbeat quickened, and you could feel Lance's heart do the same

If they came any closer, you'd be cornered

And in a battle like this, that was definitely not a good thing

The voices soon died down, so you took it as the perfect time to make your escape

You slowly stood up, and held out your hand waiting for Lance to grab it

He tilted his head in confusion and you mouthed "Grab my hand. We'll escape together"

He gripped your hand, and the two of you ran

You didn't care where you were running to, as long as no one saw you

Out of the corner of your eye, you saw two enemies approaching the area you were in

Which lead to you diving behind a semi-demolished wall

You kinda forgot you were holding Lance's hand, and he landed with a thump behind you

"Sorry" you whispered, making sure the two people couldn't hear

Lance whispered back, saying it was alright and that you were caught in the moment

After making sure the enemies had gone, you and Lance swiftly made your way over to a corner

"We should be safe here"

After sitting in the corner for a while, you started to take in things you hadn't noticed before

Like how beautiful Lance's eyes were

How they shone in the dark

You were so invested in his eyes, you didn't notice him growing closer until you felt a pair of lips on your own

After about a second, you melted into it

All too soon, you breath caught up to you and you had to break apart

You were lost for words

You had dreamt of that moment for months

Suddenly, the lights flicked back on and you stood, knowing the battle was over

Lance rose too, and held your hand before leading you through the maze-like arena, searching for the others

Eventually you found the others

Pidge was the first to notice your hands together and pointed it out to the others

Soon, all four of them were teasing you two

Lance and you had become blushing messes and looked down at your feet
