Searching for me in the dark
You look again.
Two out of three times;
Once more and you'll see the glow of my eyes starting back
Looking... watching... waitingAre you sure you want to reveal the hell waiting in the corner?
You look again and catch my eye.
Silence...
You try to differ dreams from reality,
I am real but your mind says I'm not there
Looking... watching... waitingThe darkness entraps your imagination;
My yellow eyes searching... hoping... praying...
You close your eyes and wait to fall asleep but-
Your unconscious knows I'm there
Looking... watching... waiting...You look again and our eyes meet.
You stop breathing, hoping I'm looking past you.
I'm not.
You linger silently deciding what to do
And gasp as a latch the door frame with my claws and tail to make my way to you.
Moving... watching... hoping...I turn and a blanket covers the face I stalk,
I need it.
Slowly revealing your fear and innocence, I bolt at you;
Your screams turn into yelps and your soon lifeless eyes turn to face me
Your killerI smile as you grasp for a form of life,
A source of hope.
I chuckle as you riggle to escape the fate already set out;
I laugh as you spit out words of desperation;
You draw your last breath as I watch with wonder,
And finally you are mine.
Your lifeless body hangs from the bed
Looking... watching... nothing...
