Nighttime fell over the city of Paris, one of the most beautiful and, of course, romantic cities of France. It was were the Eiffel tower sat, it shined in the night along with the stars in the sky.
Then, there she was.
Ladybug.
One of Paris' protectors, the main reason why the city could stay as beautiful and peaceful as always. She had just finished fighting against an akuma created by the evil Hawkmoth, and to avoid their identities being revealed, both her and Chat Noir parted ways and went back home. Once the hero was in her house again, she detransformed, taking her place was Marinette, clothing designer and very shy but the nicest person in her whole class.
"Great job out there today Marinette!" Her kwami, Tikki, praised her with a big smile.
"Thanks Tikki," Marinette replied with a small giggle and paused before speaking again. "I should be getting ready to sleep, there's a test first period tomorrow at school." She added, before doing everything she had to do and, eventually, slept.
The next day, the alarm woke her up, she was late for school, again. She didn't really cared at first until Tikki reminded her of the test, which made her jump out of the bed and sprinted everywhere, trying to do everything she had to really quickly. Apparently, doing stuff that fast help because when she got to class the teacher was just handing out the tests. She quickly sat in her seat and as she received the paper she started.
A few minutes into the exam, she couldn't help but find it weird that Alya hadn't said hi or anything. Even though it was a test, she would have taken the risk and made sure her friend was okay before continuing with the test. But, when she decided to look over at her, she found Alya smiling to herself from ear to ear and mumbling to herself quietly. It made Marinette raise an eyebrow in confusion, she was sure to ask her what was up when she finished. Once the exam was done, Alya stood up, handed it her paper and left the room quickly, making Marinette do the same. She walked around to see if she found her but, absolutely no luck. She ended up in the locker room and walked over to her locker, opening it with a sigh. No luck in finding Alya. Once the door was open a paper fell out, it was pink and heart-shaped. She glanced down at it in surprise and picked it up, her eyes widened once she opened it and read what was inside.
"Dearest Marinette...
Oh, dear princess who came from the stars
You don't know how lucky you are,
To be blessed with such traits,
Such as beautiful eyes and lots of brains.
I wish to keep you all to myself,
Because you've shown me your real self
My love for you, it's not like anyone else's,
You're the one that blesses
My life with eternal love and happiness.Signed, A."
Marinette nearly dropped the letter. 'Signed A.' Who could possibly be A? Suddenly, it hit her. "A.... A as in Adrien!" She exclaimed as a big smile appeared on her face. Tikki flew out the bag and read the poem herself while Marinette was busy trying not to faint. She looked a bit confused. 'You've shown me you real self ' Those words kept repeating in her head. Adrien didn't exactly know her real self, the girl could barely start a conversation with him. Besides, that didn't seemed like his handwriting.
Tikki glanced over at Marinette and let out a small giggle, "We first should investigate more about this before jumping to conclusions." She said, smiling slightly.
Marinette glanced back at her kwami, before clearing her throat. "Right, yep." She said nodding, then she shoved the letter in her backpack and Tikki hid back in her bag.
She was spaced out almost the rest of the school day. She was either think of the letter or drawing some doodles of her and Adrien. She was too caught up in her own world to even notice that Alya wasn't there the rest of the day. Once it was 3 o'clock, Marinette dashed back home. She sat in her desk and took out the letter, not being able to contain her excitement. Regardless of what Tikki had said, she still believed it was Adrien's letter. No one could blame her, who else could be A? She quickly took out the phone to call Alya, but no answer. She decided to leave her a few messages and until Alya read them, she'd figure out a way to confess her feelings for him as well.
•Author's note:
Hi!! I really hope you enjoy my fanfic, I spent a lot of time deciding how to write and what could actually happen. Sorry the chapter was a bit short, I'll be sure to make future chapters longer. Little side note though, for future events, take in consideration that the characters are 18-19 years old.
That's all and thanks for reading!
