"you'll never know what hit you..."

Carl

"I didn't mean to knee you."

"Well, you did." I shot back as I walked before her. I held onto her wrist as I dragged her towards my destination. It was beginning to get dark out and V told me to have her in before the street lights came on.

"Where are we going?" She asked for the millionth time, making me roll my orbs. God does she ever shut up?

"None of your business."

"You keep saying that!" Mia whines, causing me to shake my head. This is like taking care another Liam.

"Yeah, maybe it's because what I fucking mean!" I say, turning to her this time and looking her in the eye. I didn't even want to fucking bring her, being as though I don't fucking trust her around. Especially not around my business.

Mia kept quiet so I took that as a sign to keep walking. Once we arrived, my grip on her wrist got tighter and I heard her wince like a little pussy. "Stay close to me." I demanded as I looked back. She nodded.

Walking in the door of our trap after checking to see if anyone had been watching, I saw the guys I had assigned to watch over the place for tonight.

Well, G-Dog helped me assign these guys.

Cameron, Lucas, Nick and Kian. Unfortunately, we were missing two...

"Yo, well look who it is." Cameron says with a smirk on his stupid face. He was one of our best workers even though he was a total fuckboy. Or maybe I'm just jealous he gets all the girls I want before I could. "Who's this pretty thang?" He nods towards Mia.

"Ah, I'm guessing you're here to award us for our hard work this week, huh?" Kian asks, slowly walking over towards Mia. I sense her discomfort and push him back.

"Don't touch her." I say nonchalantly before looking back over at Cameron who sat on the couch smoking a blunt. "Where are those two fuck heads?"

They all shrug.

"Haven't seen them since yesterday after you went to make that move." Lucas says as he sits on the floor in front of the tv screen playing the xbox.

I run my hand down my face and sigh in frustration. G is gonna fucking have my ass if I don't whip those two back into shape. I don't get what's been up with them all fucking day. Avoiding my calls, not showing into work. Not like them. Something must've happened yesterday to throw them off... They have to be back before G notices. They just have to.

I practically begged him to create this team and he trusted me to be good on my own. We'd still be under his 'company' but we'd be doing it our own way. Our pay would be so much more than usual because he promised us 40% of everything he made.

And boy did he make a lot.

This team was made from good thought. All of these guys had good qualities and were the best younger workers on different blocks of the Southside. Aaron, Kian and I came from the same street. After I got out of jail, G introduced me to Cam and Nick. I knew Kian since second grade. The twins came out of nowhere and begged G-Dogg to take them in. This happened a little after I got sentenced.

Nick was the muscle. He could make someone piss their pants by a simple look. Although people saw him as this big scary guy, he's the complete opposite. Never have I ever met anyone like him. He had his issues, but he was definitely a good guy. I had to be the only one he trusts here.

Kian dropped out his freshman year. He was a few years older than Lucas and I who were the same age. He plays dirty. Batshit crazy. Been shot a couple of times but never backs down. We need a guy like him, he gives us all a little push for when we're being pussies. He's the only one who's ever killed someone out of us all.
