He was 19 at the time, he was a striving student and a pretty dwelling gamer, one day... He wanted to figure out some ways to use 3rd party devices on his Xbox, so he looked online, and saw this software called c0rrupt that supposedly rooted the device to any game you want for free, he bought the software and attempted to root his Xbox, upon doing this he received an error on his screen... It said the following, Welcome to promise, shoot the targets to save your data, every target you miss = one file deleted Miss 5 targets in a row, see what happens He was scared, now my Xbox lies in this game, if I lose, that'll kinda suck... He started playing... It was easy, until it showed a message on the screen that said. "no" and it wouldn't let him do anything causing him to lose 5 targets in a row... " you missed 5 in a row... You know what that means" the screen read. And his Xbox turned off
Later that day he received a call, he answered and all he heard was the word corrupt spoken over and over, he asked who was there but all he got in return was "go to your car, or I'll come in" He didn't understand but he was terrified so he listened and went to his car, nobody was there... He was still on the phone and he could hear himself when he talked l, meaning the caller was really close... When he turned back, he saw his own face and a mask over it... "you're welcome" he said Then he grabbed the end of his mask, pulled it off, and threw the man into the car, stuck him under the seat so he couldn't move, and then drove until he saw a gas station, after he found one.. He drove to a pump and pumped gasoline into a bucket... He grabbed the man from under the seat... Slammed his head into the bucket And lit the bucket aflame The creature escaped into the warehouse behind the gas station and has since been named c0rrupt due to his darkened appearance and well the fact that he called his software c0rrupt...
