Falling For My Best Friend's Brother

Chapter 1

Kiana's POV
I hear my alarm clock going off, and it was a cold winter's morning. I flutter my eyes open, and see Taylor's arms are wrapped around my waist. I try not to wake him up so i gently unwrap his arms and crawl out of bed to go to the bathroom. The good thing about today was that we were out of school for 4 months and we just started break. So I hear moving in the bed and I peak my head out of the bathroom and see that Taylor was sitting up. He was on his phone looking on his social media. I brush my teeth and hop back into bed with him, I nuzzle my head into his neck and turn on the TV. We start to watch our favorite TV show, FRIENDS. We both loved the TV show, while that is going on, Taylor grabs my hand and intertwines it with his. He made me so happy when I was with him. After the show is over, I tell him we should make breakfast for Dylan and Kawai. So you may be wondering why Kawai is staying with us. Her parents and our parents are high class lawyers so they were always on trips, so under her parents command she has to stay with us until they get back, but she has her own dedicated room in our house. Me and Taylor walk down with our hands intertwined the whole way down. We get down and we look in the fridge and the pantry, and I see we have pancake mix. We decided to make pancakes and he grabs plates and sets the plates on the island and after I'm done cooking I put the pancakes neatly on the plates. Taylor and I go back upstairs and I wake up Kawai and he wakes up Dylan. Then we race downstairs and sit down. Me and Taylor sit next to each other and we talk about what we are going to do today. He says we could do a little photo shoot outside. And go to the mall to do some shopping and watch a movies. My eyes light because he knew exactly what I wanted to do today. He was amazing, he didn't care what we did but he wanted me happy, in his world I'm his princess. But my birthday is coming up, and I'm hoping they remembered. I hear footsteps and first I see my big brother and then I see Kawai. Dylan says good morning to me and Taylor, he sat down and ate his pancakes and he said he was going to study his script and I said okay and see you later. Kawai asked me what me and Taylor were doing today. He spoke up and said we were going to do a photoshoot, go to the mall and watch a movie. So he told me to go upstairs and get ready and he would be up soon. I sprint upstairs and walk to Dylan's room and knock on the door. He opens the door and he said he wanted to go shopping but he had to study his script. So I said that I would pick up whatever he needed. He ran to his desk and instead of giving the little piece of paper, he ran past me and down the stairs. I look over the staircase and see he's handing the paper to Taylor and he was telling him something, Taylor nodded and he looked up at me and told me to get into clothes for the photoshoot. I picked out a really cute pastel pink coat with faux fur for the hood, jeans and boots. I see him walk past me and gives me a kiss, and he has to get ready to be in the snow taking pictures for my Instagram. So after he gets ready, I'm in the downstairs bathroom doing my makeup. He comes and sits behind me and kisses my cheek. I finish my makeup and he had all of the camera equipment and he was setting up outside. We take a ton of pictures and I am really famous in Instagram and YouTube. So I reminded Taylor I wanted to film a video with him. He agreed and I took the equipment and set it up in my office. Then I get changed into something comfy and call Taylor up, and we got the video started. After about an hour, we finished the video, I stood up and he grabbed my waist and he turned me around and gave me a kiss and we just stood there and stared into each other's eyes. We had to break it so I could take a shower. He let go and told me to go and get ready for the mall trip. After I got ready, I sat downstairs and went into my office and sat in front of this tall vertical mirror, and did my makeup once again. After that was done, I got up and I bumped into Taylor, I almost fell but luckily it was Taylor so he had caught me. He put me back up on my feet and he asked me if I was okay. I said I was fine and went back to getting all of the things I needed to take with me to the mall. When he was done and I was done we hopped into his Lamborghini and drove to the mall. We arrived at the mall and he grabbed his key from the car, his keys always had some sort of thing to show our love. We walking into the mall, our hands intertwined, then this girl started screaming because she really liked Taylor and you can tell when someone was a fan. And I could definitely tell she was one. She walked up to Taylor and asked him for a picture, and he agreed. He let go of my hand to take a picture with her. After he had a little meet and greet, he had to find my hand again and we walked to my favorite clothing store. We went in and he waited for me while I made some outfits with the pieces of clothing that they had in the store. He had just sat there and admired me. After I was done, getting what I wanted, the next part was trying it on. Most of the outfits looked really nice on me. This one I didn't really know how it looked on me but I walked out with it on, and asked Taylor. He didn't say anything but he gave me this look telling me to get it. So I got everything and I was pulling out my wallet but Taylor said no. He pulled out his wallet and payed for everything. We walked out and he told me to go into the nearby pet store and my eyes light up. He said he would be in the store in a minute. I look back and see the paper that Dylan gave him. I didn't care I might get a puppy. So I finally see him come in and I'm standing next to the puppy of my dreams. It was a miniature dachshund and it was dappled. So Taylor asked me if that was the one and I said yes. But we didn't get it, when I walked out he was talking to the manager but I don't know what they were talking about. So he come out and grabs my hand and intertwined it with his. We hop back into the car and drive home. We get home and he helps me with my bags and I walk into Kawai's room and just as I'm entering, he asked me what I wanted to watch, I said it didn't matter. I walk in and ask her " What's wrong Kawai? " She said" Nothing Kiana I-I just don't know why your brother is so rude to me". But I  sighed and shrugged "I don't know why he hates you I mean he never said he didn't like you, I will ask him. " I said and walked out of her room. When I walk down I see that he is logging into Netflix, and turned on American Horror Story. He called Kawai and Dylan down. We watched about 20 minutes of the episode and I was already hiding under the covers, Taylor was giggling the whole time. He was comforting me while the show was going. For some odd reason just as the show was ending, Dylan was walking away and I could tell Taylor was starting to fall asleep, so I quickly undid our hands and it woke Taylor up, I got up and ran to his room but I was too late. He had already slammed the door. I run back downstairs and grab his two favorite food and run up the stairs again. I knock on the door and tell him that he can have the food if he opens the door and he knows what I brought up with me. Chocolate and Pizza. He opens the door and lets me in but after he lets me in, he slammed the door. I give him the food he loves so much. He sat down at his desk and I sit at the end of his bed. " What's wrong Dyan? " I asked. So the name Dyan came from when I was little, I was trying to pronounce his name but I couldn't say L's just yet but the name stuck through the year. " The movie producers just called me before we watch the movie, and they told me that I have to leave ASAP. But your birthday is tomorrow and I can't miss my baby sister's birthday. " He replied. He take my hands and says " You know what Kiki? " " What Dyan?? " I said. " You were the best little addition to our little family. It was so much fun having a sibling. But you are a really pretty sibling. And sporty. " He said. I started to tear up because I knew he didn't make that up. " Thanks Dyan. Wait how long are you gone for? Me and Kawai have a lacrosse game next weekend and I have a dance performance this weekend. " I said. He said " Well baby sis, I am afraid I have to miss it.. But I will try and make it. " I replied " It's fine if you don't make it. Taylor is not going on tour anytime soon, I don't think. " He seemed like he really wanted to be there. We walk back downstairs and we sit back down. Me and Taylor get back to cuddling and Dylan is trying to get as much family time with me as he can because he is leaving tomorrow. So by the time we finished, it was 8:45. So me and Taylor decide to go upstairs and talk about what we are going to do on my birthday tomorrow. He tells me that he has a surprise. Taylor knows how much I love surprises. After we had our little moment, I decided to get ready for bed. I take my contacts out and put my giant thick rimmed glasses on. And me and Taylor hopped into bed and turned the TV on. He had his arm wrapped around my shoulder and I feel asleep first. Like I always do.

Kawai's POV
I woke up to the shaking of my arm, I flutter my eyes open and see my bestie. She tells me that there is breakfast downstairs if I wanted any. I get up and grab my phone, I walk downstairs and sit down to see Kiana and Taylor smiling at each other, so I just finish eating and walk back upstairs. Kiana and Taylor went out for awhile so I was just watching some TV. I was about half way through an episode of Spongebob (Don't Judge) when Dylan plops down next to me, "Do you know when the poster couple is coming back?" He asks eyes not leaving the TV, I chuckle and answer "No, We're watching a movie when they come back though". I couldn't stop staring at him as the TV would light up his face every few seconds, I caught myself staring before he noticed. There were an awkward few minutes until I asked him how his studying was going, he stood up and walked to the door before he walked out he said over his shoulder "It would be way better if you turned that TV down". God, Why is he such a jerk and yet so nice to his baby sister? As on cue Kiana walked in and sat next to me. She looked at me and turned to me. "What's wrong Kawai?", I sighed and turned to her "Nothing Kiana I-I just don't know why your brother is so rude to me". She sighed and shrugged "I don't know why he hates you I mean he never said he didn't like you, I will ask him. "Hey Kiana I am going to go to the pool and swim for a little bit. I got up and started to change. So I hop in the pool but after about an hour, I decide to get out because Kiana called me and asked me what I wanted for dinner and I replied with PIZZA!! She said okay and order like 3 pizzas. When she was ordering the pizza, I get out of the pool, take a shower, and get into comfy clothing because I hear Kiana say that we are going to all watch a movie together. So I walk downstair, I see Kiana and Taylor cuddling and eating pizza. Kiana nudges Dylan and gives him a glare. He rolled his eyes and looked back at me, "do you wanna sit by me?" He asked me clearly bored and annoyed he had to ask. I reply with the same emotion, aka none "oh no I wouldn't want to bother you" with that I plop down next to Taylor opposite of Dylan, I look up to see Dylan's reaction and he just stares at me in disbelief, I smirk and look back at the Tv. I hear Dylan mutter something but i didn't really want to know. We just finished watching American horror story, I was a little scared but not as much as Kiana was, she would jump like every 5 seconds. I totally forgot Dylan was here until he cleared his throat to get everyone's attention, "Well we all know who would die first if we were every like that" with a smirk I looked up and not knowing where he was going asked who that might be. With a small smirk he answered "well you of course I would personally kill you if I had a choice, I mean who needs you, your parents are barely around and when they are they don't even spend time with you, you barely have any friends and you're defiantly not pretty or smart,your not skinny,so who would need you?". I couldn't see him clearly with the tears burning in my eyes, with that he gets up and storm up the stairs and back to his room. God he is such a jerk. A few minutes later he comes back and continues his insults, "oh and I forgot you are so annoying and I don't know how Kiana can put up with you, that is probably why your parents are gone all the time." I had enough I stand up and walk to my room and slam the door, I slide down and hear yelling coming from down stairs. I sit in my room for the rest of the night and didn't let anyone in. Tomorrow Dylan is leaving so I won't have to see him, and it is Kiana's Birthday. I was about to go to bed when I heard a knock on the door, I thought it was Kiana but oh boy was I wrong. When I opened the door there was Dylan standing in front of me, I was to shocked to shut the door, he started to ramble on about how Kiana made him say sorry, then he looked at me, and was about to say something but I cut him off, "Dylan if Kiana made you say sorry then you're not really sorry" " no kawai-" I cut him off by putting my hand up, "Dylan don't ever talk to me again, I already understand how unimportant I am and all that, I get it, so never ever talk to me again." With that I slammed the door in his face and plopped down on my bed. Tomorrow is going to be hard...
