Missing Out

       Moana POV

Its been almost 2 years since I seen Maui. Well, he does come and visit and show off with the villagers, but its been a while. He would talk about his adventures and brag about how quiet it was that I wasn't making so much noise. He would make me mad with his terrible jokes but its all in good fun.

The only thing that bothers me is that I feel like he wants to tell me something but I don't know what. I haven't seen him in a few months.

"MOANA! ITS TIME FOR THE SPRING FESTIVAL!" called Sina. "Coming!" I yelled back. I grab my necklace that my grandma Tala gave me then headed outside.

This is one of my favorite times of the year, where the flowers bloom of all different colors and shapes, with all of them making a rainbow, but even with all the excitement I don't feel the same as before. I feel as if there is an emptiness in my heart. But as the chiefs dauther, I did my best to ignore it. "I see you still kept that necklace." My mother said with a warm smile. "Yes...I could never leave it." I said softly as I touched it.

We started walking to the festival where I say my dad. I gave him a hug as he hugged me back. "Ah Moana just in time," he said breaking the hug," the festival is about to start!" He finished as I smiled "great!" I added.

Soon there was a ringing that signaled for the festival to start. As of that I quickly sat down next to my mother and father. There was dancing, tricks and everything! Including the flowers that were thrown into the air and gently falling gracefully onto the ground. It was like fireworks but without the noise. Some of the flowers were blue which reminded me of the ocean and then Maui. I can't help but feel like he's missing out.

After the festival ended I asked my mother if it was ok to ride on of the boats and of course she approved. Then I started walking to the beach, then I see in surprise my favorite demigod on the shore. I saw his turn around and looked at me in surprised...
