Staying With Phil

  Dan's P.O.V.

Phil and I were scrubbing as hard as we could to get the paint off. It was 2:30 am. It was quiet. All you could hear was us scrubbing the garage. I saw Phil stop scrubbing and look at me. "I have an idea!" I looked over at him confused "How about we paint over it!" I thought for a second. "Not a bad idea! I'll be right back!" Phil nodded.

I ran back outside with a bucket of white paint. "That is totally normal for you to have a bucket of white paint in your house." Phil said looking at me "Shut up!" I pushed him and we both started to laugh. We took the paint brushes and started to paint. "I am going to make this the most attractive garage ever!" Phil said. I could tell he was trying to make me feel better.
When we were done we went into my house in my room. "Thanks. Sorry about that." Phil shook his head. "Don't worry about it! I just have one question..." I knew exactly what he was going to ask. "Why did they write Gaylord?" I looked down. Trying not to cry. What if he leaves me because he finds out I am gay? "I was at a party once and a guy tricked me into thinking he wanted to kiss me. So people call me Gaylord." Phil looked down then back at me "So you're gay?" I sighed. "Yeah..." Once I said that I started to cry. Phil came over to me "Hey! Its okay. I am here for you!" I looked at him confused "You aren't going to leave me?" He looked hurt. "Of course not! You're my best friend! I would never do that!" That was nice, but it kinda hurt to hear him say "friend". I started to cry even more and he hugged me. "I think we should get to bed." I nodded.

We walked upstairs into my room. Phil was about to leave my room "Phil!" He turned around confused. "C-c-can you stay here tonight? You can sleep on the floor." He smiled and nodded. I set up his bed on the floor and went in my bed. "Phil." I heard him turn "Yeah, Dan." I smiled to myself "Thanks." It was quiet for a second. "You're welcome."

I woke up to see that Phil wasnt on the floor. Did he leave? Did he leave and is he not coming back? Was he just being nice yesterday? I started to panic until I heard the bathroom door close and my door opened. "Oh! Morning. Sorry I had to use the bathroom." I laughed while Phil looked confused "What?" I shook my head "Nothing Phil." His phone went off. He looked at it then walked out of my room.

Phils P.O.V.

I answered my phone to see it was my mom. "Phil, where are you!?" I sighed "Sorry mom, you were asleep and I didn't want to wake you-" she cut me off "Phil! Are you safe??" I rolled my eyes "Yes mom! I am at a friends. He needed me last night because something happened and his parents are out of town." I could hear her sigh on the other end. "Okay, well come home." I looked up. "Wait! Mom! Do you think he could stay with us while is parents are gone? Please!" I could hear my mom talking to herself. I heard my father on the other end talking. "Okay, come home, bye" I hung up and ran into Dan's room. "Dan! Guess what!!!" He got up confused "You can come stay with me while your parents are gone!" He smiled "Are you sure?" I nodded "Yeah! Go pack your stuff!" He nodded and got his suitcase. I am acting like a total girl.

We headed to my house when I saw Dan looking at a guy. For some reason I felt something in me that got mad. Was I jealous? Dan saw me looking at him "Oh, sorry. That is just a guy from school." I just realized Dan looked sad. "Was he the one who did that to your house?" He nodded "Thats Caleb." I looked at him with the look of death. He didn't see us though. It was probably for the best though.
Once we arrived at my house I opened the door and Dan looked around "Mom! Were home!" My mom came around the corner "Oh hello! You must be Dan! I'm Phil's mom. You can call me Mrs.Lester!" Dan smiled and nodded "Its lovely to meet you." My mom smiled as my dad came in. "Is this the boy who is staying with us?" I nodded. "Hello sir." My dad shook his hand. "Well I am going to show Dan my room!" I pulled Dan upstairs him laughing.

​​​​​​We walked into my room and I shut the door behind us. "Sorry about them." He smiled "No. I like them." I laughed. His smile went away "Are you okay?" He looked into my eyes "Can you not tell me parents in gay. No one knows." I nodded and he smiled. "Boys dinner!" We ran downstairs. Dan fell down the stairs causing him to fall on me. We both started to laugh in pain. "Careful boys!" We both looked at her. "Sorry mum." Dan looked at me. He was on top of me. He got up with the no strength he has. 

Once we were done eating we went into my room to play video games. We were playing Halo 3. One of Dan's favorite. "This is fun!" I said with a big smile on my face. He nodded "Yeah. Thanks!" I laughed "Anytime!" I saw Dan yawn causing me to yawn. "So where am I going to sleep?" Dan asked "Oh. I never actually thought about that." Dan laughed and clapped his hands "You had one job Phil!" I laughed "What?" He pushed me causing us to laugh even more. "I mean you can sleep in here!" Dan started to blush, "O-okay." I got up and put his bag in my closet. He took a pillow and put it on the floor "What are you doing?" Dan looked at me confused "Making my bed." I laughed "I thought maybe we would sleep together." Dan looked shocked. He looked down then back at me "Okay." He put the pillow on my bed and layed down. I turned off the lights and made my way to my bed then I layed next to him.

Dan's P.O.V.

I was in Phil's bed. With Phil. What the fuck is happening. I have never been in bed with another man. Oh shut up Dan! Its Phil! Your best friend. I closed my eyes then turned to my side.

I woke up to Phil grabbing me "Dan! Are you okay?!" I was panting. "Yeah. Sorry, I had a bad dream." Phil sighed and hugged me. "Don't worry Danny, i'm here." I hugged him back "Thanks Philly." I smiled a big smile. I was blushing big time! I was mentally freaking out. Phil let go "Are you okay to go back to bed?" He sounded concerned. I nodded. He layed back down and tryed to go to sleep. I layed down to. "Hey Dan." I froze "Yeah Phil." He didn't speak for a moment. "What did you dream of." I knew he was going to ask that. "You." He turned to me and I looked at the ceiling "What?" I took a moment "I had a dream of you. I lost you." He was quiet. He hugged me again. "I will never leave you Dan." I smiled a little "Thanks Philly." I felt happy. For once in my life I was once again happy.

I woke up to my arm around Phil. He was still asleep. I slowly moved my arm and tried to get up. "Dan." I looked at him thinking he was asleep "Yeah." He faced me "I wont leave you. As long as you don"t leave me." I nodded "Okay Philly." He turned around and went back to bed. I got up to go to the bathroom when I ran into a guy. "Mom there is a shirtless man in Phil's room!" His mom came upstairs and laughed "Good morning Dan. Sorry about him. This is Phil"s brother Martyn." I nodded "Hi." I shook his hand. As I walked into the bathroom. I could hear his mom talking about me out there. 

I washed my hands and walked back into the room. I layed back down. It was dark in the room because it was raining. It was nice to hear the rain. Phil turned around "Are you okay?" I nodded "We should get up though Phil." He groans and I laughed getting up. I put on a black shirt and turned on the X-box and I started to play Halo. Phil got up and sat next to me. "I like having you here! It is fun!" I laughed "I like being here." I paused the game and stared at Phil. We were just staring at each other. Phil grabbed my hand. I could feel myself getting closer to him. Until his mom walked in and I quickly turned the game back on and Phil was saying something to me. I don't know what he was saying because I was to much focused on what just happened. "Boys we are watching a movie." Phil said okay and his mom left. What just happened.
