×week before Championships×

I was holding Alex on my hands as the Curry family was leaving out the door.
All I kept thinking about was that plan Sasha was planning.

'Crazy bitch,' I thought as I sat on the couch. I sat Alex next to me as he kept staring at his feet.

"What's wrong with your feet baby?," I asked.

He looked at me and looked back at his feet.
"What?," I laughed as he began to laugh too and pat around himself.

He slowly started to get up and my mouth began to open.

"Oh my gosh!," I said as I grabbed my phone and started recording.

He stood up and looked at me with wide eyes. I think he was just as in much shock as I was in.

"Good job," I smiled as he leaned forward to get to me but miserably failed as he fell flat on his butt.
I laughed as I ended the video and sent it to Mrs. Curry.
She quickly replied and was just as excited as we were.

Alex yawned and held his hands up for me to get him.
"I guess standing up is a little for you, huh?," I stated as I put him in his crib. He fell fast asleep.

I came back and sat on the couch and checked my phone.
I saw text messages from Demi and Kenzie.

I clicked on Kenzie's little inbox thing and saw a videos of her and her boo.

'Goals,' I thought as I saw them kiss each other.

I texted her back and went to Demi's.

Me: You summoned me?
Demi: ik what we can do
Me: keep typin
Demi: if she slips past the security then she'll have to get through the boys first, then us okay.
Me: I mean, obviously.
Demi: No, not obviously. If there's something ik about Sasha, it's that she's sneaky. She'll find a way through the boys. There too goofy. She might even find a way through us.
Me: I promise you I won't let that shit happen. If I need a black eye to defeat her again, it'll be worth it.
Demi: no fighting. She said if you guys did end up fighting again, she'll take you to court and fake injuries.
Me:.....dammit
Demi: Right, just keep a high alert  for her
Me: gotcha
Demi: alright
Me: still with me for that Elijah offer
Demi: I'm not listening blah blah blah blah byyyeeee

I laughed as I put my phone up, this was going to be a long week

Ahmad POV

"Move faster, faster. Make sure you extend your arms a little more and don't forget to jump!," my dad yelled as I was shooting balls from left to right.
I didn't miss not one shot yet and it was 2 minutes left.

I moved further away from the basket every time I shot five in.
I was almost down to the end of the court and I was sweating like crazy. It's kind of weird when you have all this pressure on you, and then you have a little drama on the side.

"Faster Ahmad!," my dad repeated as their was 30 seconds on the board.

I was finally at the end of the court and had only 3 ball left. I shot them in as quickly as I could and the board rung.
"Eerrrrrrrrrnnnn," it screamed as my dad walked over to me.

He gave me the stop watch and it said 9:03.
"Last time you had 11:12," he stated as he dapped me up and gave me a hug.

We say down on the bleachers and he gave me a water bottle.
I started to drink it and was asked," You think you ready?"

I looked over at my dad and saw him staring off into space.

"As ready as I'll ever be."
"Soon," he started off. "I'll be old and weak and we'll retire from all this. But you, your gonna carry this out for me. You gonna be just like me, even better actually. I can see it now," he said as he looked over to me.

I started to give him a hug but was interrupted as my mom popped out of nowhere and gave us a bear hug.

"Oh my gosh," I said as she squeezed us even tighter.

"Y'all thought yall was gonna hug without me, huh?," she said as she let us go smiling.

We all laughed. My face quickly changed as I realized the little time I had to prepare for Championships; the plan that Tyra has kept replaying in my mind and I was more nervous than anything. Sasha is a crazy ass girl and I know that from experience.

Every friend I had that was a girl, she'd get all crazy and obsessive and it kept getting worse. So of course I broke up with her, but she's on a whole nother level of craziness now. She can't just let a nigga live his life.

"Whatcha thinkin bout?," my said as we started to pace k our stuff.

"Nothing, just excited about the game, that's all."

"Your not scared are you?," she asked as my dad put his shoulder around me.

"Me?! Scared?! Heck no. If anything, I'm ready."

"That's what they all say u til they see the crowd and the lights. But I know you'll do fine, we gon win this," Dad said as we excited the doors and hopped in the car and headed home.

Shit was gon be crazy when the Championships come.
