I sat against the wall on the bathroom floor for the third time this month. I leaned my head on the wall and closed my eyes. I think I'm actually pregnant this time. But to be honest I'm not even sure what to think anymore. The last two times all 4 tests said negative. I was starting to lose hope. I could tell Ed was too but he was staying strong for me. I looked at my phone and realized it had been 20 minutes since I sat here on the floor. I stood up and picked up the test.

I began thinking about the future. What will happen if I really am pregnant? That would be great but was I ready? The sleepless nights, the dirty clothes. Also Lily was only 5. But the more I thought about it I was ready. I'm the one who said I wanted another baby. That must mean I'm ready. It has to. I walked to the door and opened it.

"Ed?" I called into the hallway.

"Yes love?" He asked from the living room.

"Can you come here?" I asked.

"Yes." He said. I heard him get up off the couch and walk to the bathroom. "Is everything alright love?" He asked.

"Yeah I just didn't want to be alone." I said holding up the test. He nodded and wrapped his arms around my waist. I slowly turned over the test awaiting the answer,

Positive

I felt Ed's arms tighten around my waist and I smiled. He kissed the top of my head and I turned towards him.

"We're having a baby." I said shocked.

"Yes we are." He said kissing me.

I sat in the waiting room next to Ed with Lily on my lap. It's been two weeks since I found out I was pregnant. I sat and watched Lily as she played on my phone. I looked at Ed and he smiled.

"Mommy, why are we here?" Lily asked me.

"Because the doctors are going to look at your brother or sister and see if everything's alright." I told her.

"Is something wrong?" She asked?

"No they do this once a month." I said running my fingers through her hair.

"Where is the baby at?" She asked curious. I looked at Ed and he smiled.

"It's in here." He said putting a hand on my stomach.

"How'd it get in there?" She asked him.

"Well that's a long story. I'll tell you when you're older okay?"  He asked her.

"Okay." She said going back to her game. I looked at Ed and laughed.

"Mrs. Sheeran?" The nurse called beckoning us back to a room. I picked up Lily and we followed her through the halls. "Sit down and the doctor will be in soon." She said leaving. I sat down on the bed and the doctor walked in.

"Okay let's have a look." He said sitting on the stool. He grabbed the tube full of gel and I lifted up my shirt. He squirted it onto my stomach and I grabbed Ed's hand as the cold hit me. He grabbed the wand and moved it around before stopping and pointing to the screen.

"There's your baby." He said drawing a circle around a blob with his finger. I looked at Ed and noticed he had tears in his eyes. I turned back to the screen and smiled. That was my baby, And in nine months I would have it in my arms.
