Chapter 1
Kayla's POV
I woke up to the sun shining in my eyes through the curtains "ugh" I groan rolling over not wanting to get out of bed. "Kayla get out of bed you have school!" I heard my dad yell from down stairs "Ya ya I'm up!" I yelled back. "At least its Friday" I thought. I grabbed my phone from my night stand and checked the usual (Instagram, Twitter, tumblr etc.) then got out of bed and basically crawled to the bathroom, turned the shower on blasted my music from my phone and got in.
Once I got out I dried off and got dressed in a black hoodie with a teal blue and purple peace sign on it, paisley print leggings, and black ugg boots. I blow dried my hair and curled it, then did my usual makeup (base, mascara, liquid and pencil eyeliner, and baby lips) and went downstairs for breakfast.
On the way downstairs I smelt the delicious smell of bacon, eggs an pancakes so I ran the rest of the way down and once I got to the kitchen I saw my dad cooking... Which is odd because he never cooks breakfast, its usually my twin sister Kristen who's cooking. I didn't see my sisters so I assumed they were still sleeping or getting ready, "Morning dad! What's with breakfast, you never make food?" I asked my dad who looked like he had been up for a while "Good morning sweetie! And I just thought it would be nice to eat breakfast all together as a family this morning." he told me while flipping a pancake, "ok" I said confused "Where's Kristen and Becca?" I asked still confused from what he had said. "Kristen is getting ready for school and Becca is either with her or still sleeping." He told me "ok then I will be right back" I said while running back up the stairs I heard a faint "ok" from him.
I went to Kristen and I's bathroom to talk to her, "Morning Kay!" she said while putting on mascara. "Morning Krissy, do you know what's up with dad he's up making breakfast and looks excited?" I asked grabbing my teal beanie from the counter "I have no idea I saw that to but didn't ask about it." she told me now putting on eyeliner, "Can you go wake Becca up for me?" she asked "Sure" I said walking to Becca's room. I opened her door to see my 5 year old sister peacefully sleeping. I walked over to her bed sitting down next to her on it, I softly started shaking her awake "Becca wake up sweetie" I whispered in her ear "I don't want to." she groaned rolling over, "Dad said you have to, I will call the tickle monster if you don't wake up." I told her. She sat up quickly yelling a quick "I'm up" in her sweet little voice. "okay now go tell daddy you're up and I will pick out your outfit for you." I said to her "okay sissy" she said then got up and left the room, I went to her closet and grabbed her cute pink fluffy skirt with a hello kitty shirt and some pink sneakers, she came back up and I dressed her then took her to the bathroom and did her hair it little pig tails with pink bows.(outfit on side if works)
I went downstairs holding a sleepy looking Becca in my arms. when I got to the kitchen the table was made and Kristen was already eating so I gave dad Becca, got a plate and sat down to eat. Halfway through breakfast dad told us he needed to tell us something so we all finished eating and I helped dad do the dishes while Kristen took Becca to go play since she doesn't go to school yet. You might be wondering where our mom is, well she died last year in a car accident when a drunk driver hit her and she died instantly from the pressure of the hit. Well anyways, when I finished the dishes I went upstairs to get my stuff along with Kristen. When we went back downstairs we went to the living room where my dad was nervously waiting on the couch.
"What was it you wanted to tell us dad?" I asked him "Okay girls, well you see, we are moving to Los Angeles, California for a new job I got and today is your last day of school here." he told us waiting for someone to say something. "............."
