-At the Mall-

The mall here was so big. It had to have at least 3 levels.

"Where do you girls want to go first?" my mom asked me and Jamie.

"American Eagle." we said in unison.

"Alright you guys go, meet me back here at 12:30!" my mom chuckled in response.

We walked through the ginormous mall. They had so many stores it was crazy.

"Hey Leah and Jamie!" Someone called. I turned around it was Hayes.

We waved in response. He was with a big group of kids I would've guessed went to his school. One girl was on his back. She had light brown hair from where I was that's all I could notice about her.

I focused back on going to American eagle.

"Hey, wait." He yelled again. He started running over to me and Jamie. "Do you guys want to hang with us?" His eyes were so blue it was crazy.

"We have to get some shopping done for school, but thanks." Jamie answered for me.

"Alright I'll see ya later." He winked to me and I instantly got butterfly's.

"Leah..." Jamie knocked me out of my daze.

"Uh, yeah, what?" I asked spastically.

"Ohhh you think he's cuuutttteeee!" she screeched.

"What? You don't?!"

"No... his friends are cuter." she smirked.

"Whatever, we need to find American eagle!" I reminded her.

-At the House-

Shopping was unsuccessful. We couldn't even find American Eagle!

It was now 5:34pm and I was unpacking. I opened the closest box and it was all my clothes. I put them away in my dresser and opened another box. The box was filled with pictures of me and Mar. I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes so I went outside to my patio. My room was connected to the house patio with double doors leading to it.

I stepped out into the warm breeze. I tried to get rid of the thoughts bouncing around in my head. I wiped the tears from under my eyes and tried to fix my mascara. I sat down on the patio chair and laid back.

A football came flying over the gate with Hayes following behind. I sat up and couldn't help, but laugh

"Sorry about the football..." Hayes grabbed the football and walked on to the patio.

"It's fine.." I sniffed and wiped under my eyes again.

"I'm not gonna lie, I threw this over here so I could come talk to you." he held his head down and I couldn't help but laugh. I patted the seat next to me and he sat down.

"Why were you crying...?" Hayes looked me in the eyes. I got lost in his gorgeous blue eyes.

"Just... I miss home a little." I tried my best to shape my mouth into a grin.

"Oh. You're starting school tomorrow right?" he threw the football back over to his yard and sat back down.

"Yeah. I'm really scared though." I wasn't gonna lie to him. I was scared no one was going to know me and I wouldn't know anyone.

"Why?" he chuckled.

"I don't have any friends here, other then Jamie, but she's in 8th."

"You'll get friends easily. You're so nice. It won't be hard for you." He smiled to me.

"Thanks." I smiled back.

"I better head home. My moms probably wondering where I am. Goodnight beautiful."

"Goodnight." I blushed. He ran back over the gate and went inside. I was left with myself and the North Carolina sunset.
