Homie-phobe

Ross' POV

Josh is leaning in Laura's doorway smirking at me. I'm not going to lie, this dude, is intimidating. Laura tries to stifle a giggle, but fails. I clear my throat and extend my hand to Josh. "Nice to meet you man." I say timidly. "pleasure is all mine, pretty boy."
I raise an eyebrow at Laura. She explodes with laughter. "Josh cut it out." she says in between giggles.
I. am. very. confused. "Okay, okay, I will leave you alone now." He walks off to his room. "What was that?" I ask quietly. She giggles more.
"Josh likes to scare guys." she says quietly.
"And sometimes girls!" Josh yells from his room.
Laura tells him to shut up.

"He's gay." She giggles again.
Relief washes through me. Well now I absolutely know I don't have to worry about him.
"He likes to scare homophobes." She says. the humor in her was palpable.
"Well I am terrified." I yell loud enough so josh can hear me.
Which he does cause, his laughter is audible throughout this apartment.
Laura smiles at me adoringly.
She's pulling me in. She's my gravity.
My oxygen. I need her and that beautiful smile.
How am I ever going to go home now?

Josh walks back into Laura's room and amused smile tugging at his lips. "sup homie-phobe." he says referring to me.
I can't help but laugh at his pun. Laura is also giggling uncontrollably.
"Sup." I laugh.
