What seemed like hours was actually only a forty minute drive to get to where my mom now lives. She lives in a small antique town called Newton. I internally laughed at a sign that said; "Home of the rail roaders." How odd to have a railroad guy as a highschool mascot.

"What are you smiling about?" Ross whispered in my ear making me scrunch my neck up at the feeling of his proximity.

" We're in Newton Kansas." I said in more disbelief than anything.

"Yeah I know, the closest we've been to this state was when we did that meet&greet in KansasCity, Missouri." I smiled at the memory because that was around the time we started to hangout more.

My mother turned left at a little suburb called Quail Creek. Her house was a bland sandy color, but it matches with the cool Kansas feel.

"Okay I'll give you the grand tour." My mom takes the lead into the house that seems small on the outside but is surprisingly big on the inside. I get lost in my own thoughts as me and Ross quietly follow her around.

" What's in there?" Ross pointed towards the real wooden door that looks like it came from TheHobbit.

"Uh, That's just storage. Now for the back yard!" I raised an eyebrow at her quick change in subject but chose to ignore it.

Her back yard consists of a huge deck with a porch swing and a whole lot of yard space with plush green grass.

"Oh and here's this picture of Laura when she was three, you see that thing she's holding in her hand? That was her fathers BeatlesCD that he gave to her. She took it everywhere with her for months!" I laughed at the sight of prepubescent Laura while Laura was sitting on the opposite side of me hiding her face.

"Is this Laura or Vanessa?" I was looking at a picture of Domino holding one of the girls with a loving look in his eyes.

"That's Vanessa, I can tell because he wasn't holding her properly." She held onto the photo and her eyes glimmered a bit, but she smiled and recomposed herself.

"Vanessa was bigger than Laura as a baby. But Laura has always been thin because of her fast metabolism." Laura laughed.

"I thought something was seriously wrong with me, mostly because people would always point out how small I was." She pressed her lips together in a thin line, probably reliving her past insecurities.

"I was a chubby baby, and a scrawny boy." I said to make Laura feel better.

"And now your a muscular man." She laughs.

" And you are a petit woman." She rolled her eyes and looked at the next picture.

"Hey what do the fans call the season one us again?" I raised a brow.

"Fetus?" She smiled and showed me the picture of me and her on the third week of filming. It was taken with a disposable camera because her older flip phone didn't have a good camera.

"Time fly's fast when your having fun." We smiled at each other and seemed to get lost in our own world. But we were brought out of our thoughts at the sound of the front door opening and closing.

"Honey, I'm home!" Me and Laura looked towards her mom in confusion. And all the color has drained from Ellen's face.
"Mom what's going on?" Laura asks.
"H-he wasn't supposed to be home until next week." She looks at both of us panicked. A guy walks into the living room where we were. He has a balding head and a tweed suit.
"We have company?" The stranger looked towards Ellen.
"Uh, This is my daughter Laura and her husb- I mean boyfriend Ross." She then looks at Laura apologetically. "And Laura this is... My partner Eli." I understood what she meant completely. But Laura was starting at the ground in confusion, and I watched as realization dawned on her. Her face scrunched up in rage, but I butt in before she would do something she would regret. I flung her over my shoulder making her start pounding into my back with her fists, but luckily in time I stopped her feet from kicking Eli in the face.
