-Jack is the new transfer student from Ireland, a bit geeky and insecure, but good at heart. He is just a common student in their 3rd year, but he isn't very good at handling hard situations on his own, much like all of the decisions he made in his life.
His story began at the Universal College of Los Angeles. Jack just arrived to L.A. a few days ago and now is ready to begin his new life.-
*Jack's POV*
'Do I really have to do this? I mean, I can always go back to Ireland and attend a good ol' college for plain common people like me.' Random thoughts ran around in my head as I was sitting in complete silence in the bus.
'Wait, what am I talking about? Jack, you got accepted to be a new transfer student for one of the best colleges in the US. I mean, it's great and all, but what if I don't fit in? I'll just be a weird, geeky 3rd year student that won't matter to anyone. Stop, that's enough. Don't think like that, you'll do fine. You'll do just-'
My thought got cut off by the bus door opening, making a loud shutter sound and creaking open.
"Okay kid, get off." The bus driver gave me a sassy look and pointed at the door.
I rolled my eyes and got off, avoiding her glance on the way out. I exited the bus and slowly walked up to the huge brick wall that was next to the station. I was nervous, sweat dripping down my forehead like a waterfall. It was either cause of the stress or it was because it was literally over 100° outside.
I adjusted my position, back straight, feet out, head up and one deep breath. I slowly tip-toed over to the main gate and stopped at the entrance.
'Okay, it's now or never.' I thought to myself as I grabbed onto the big metal gate that stood right infront of me.
I looked up on more time, took a deep breath and finally opened the gate.
I felt like I was opening a door to a completely new world, a new universe that was just... perfect. The sun got covered by a huge tree that stood in the middle of the campus. The orange leaves were falling down as the small breeze blew gently on my face. The weather was beautiful, the best weather I had seen in years. I stood still in one spot as the metal gate closed behind me, making me jump a bit.
'Step one, complete.' I chuckled at the thought as I slowly made my through the gigantic campus.
There was a lot of people there. Some were running around and playing catch, bumping into me one by one. Some were sitting at a table and talking, a guitar playing smoothly in the background. I saw some cheerleaders talking as I walked past them, some of them even winking at me. I nervously smiled back and cringed a bit at my action.
'Holy crap Jack! Girls wink at you and you just blow them off with a weird ass looking smile!? Pull yourself together man!' I thought to myself.
I slowly walked down a path with many different tables and booths. A lot of people were there, too.
"Let everyone see your strength, join the football club!"
"Show your passion in the art club!"
"We have free cake!"
Everyone were handing out flyers and posters to me to join their club or whatnot. I declined every suggestion, I don't want to start doing some crap right away. Making my way down the path, I walked up to a big building. It was a big complex painted with different vibrant colors. I felt eye-sore just by looking at it.
"Hey, you must be new here!" A voice almost the same pitch as mine boomed behind me.
I turned around to see a boy my height with neon blue hair.
"Y-yeah, I'm just exploring a bit. I kinda want to get used to the environment." I replied shyly, backing away a bit and playing with my sleeves.
"Oh, do you need me to take you to the reception? The dorms aren't that far away." The boy suggested as he pointed at a random direction.
"W-well, um... S-sure, why not?" I stuttered, my accent making me sound even weirder.
"I'm Ethan Nestor! What's your name?" He stretched out his hand for me to shake it.
"I-I-I'm Jack McLoughlin. N-nice to meet you." I respond shakily and slowly shook his hand.
"Hey pal, there's no need to be shy. Everyone around here is nice, you shouldn't worry about anything." He smiled brightly at me.
I went to reply, but suddenly a football hit him directly in the back of his head. He grumbled and pointed with his thumb.
"Everyone BUT those guys over there." His expression changed from extreme happiness to sudden anger.
I looked behind him and saw a guy running up to us. He was a bit taller than us and was a pretty muscular build compared to me. And to be honest, he looked kinda hot.
'Jack, you just saw the guy and you're immediately start falling for him!? What the heck is wrong with you today!?' I mentally facepalmed.
He just laughed at Ethan as he grabbed the football.
"Next time, it'll hit somewhere where it isn't supposed to hit, pipsqueak." He laughed and Ethan blushed a deep red.
He walked away and Ethan grumbled angrily to himself.
"That's Mark Fishbach. The biggest asshole on the campus." Ethan crossed his hands in complete disgust.
"Are you two friends?" I asked him hesitantly.
"We were friends since we were in high school. But since we started college, he suddenly changed. He left me and a few more of our friends just to hang out with the jocks." Ethan tried to blink away tears.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I-I didn't know." I responded shyly, feeling a bit sorry for the guy.
Ethan sniffled a bit, but his expression instantly changed into a heartwarming smile.
"It's okay. Hey, how about we get you settled down in the dorms?" Ethan suggested and I nodded in agreement.
He smiled frome ear to ear and we started to make our way to the dorms.
*A/N* Heeeey everyone! Glad you made it this far. This the beginning of the new story that I was planning to publish for a while now. Hope you all enjoyed it. Let me know what you think of it. And I'll see you all later! Byeo!!
