I bit the lower bottom of my lip, raising my chin confidently. "Can't you just put your hand down for just one second?!" I practically screamed, clenching my fists. I stared up at my fuming father, his hands raised up for another slap. I rapidly jerked my head to the side, dodging the hit. "You ignorant brat!" He hissed.

His face was as red as cherries, and I could literally see steam rising up and out of his ears. "Live in a hole!" I shot back, turning my back on a person I barely called my father. "Lucas," He whispered softly, his voice filled to the brim with fake sympathy. I halted either way, completely shocked with him calling me my first name.

He usually called me, Friar, or, kid. "You little rascal," He drawled out, his voice filling with his country accent. I scowled, the constant expression falling into place like a puzzle. The storm brew outside, the strong rain sloshing against the weak windows, occasionally cracking it by the slightest.

I threw my hands up in the air in exasperation, ruffling my fingers through my dirty blonde hair. "Why?!" I glared, grabbing a family picture and smashing it to the ground, the glass shattering and scattering across the carpet. "Why?!" I repeated, throwing myself onto the rough bed.

The mattress was stiff, the pillow deflated and the cotton sticking out. The blankets and sheets were ragged, ripped, and torn to shreds.

Clearly, we didn't have much to spend. I glanced out the window, the rushing waves of the hurricane pounding against the glass, desperately trying to get in.

I sighed, tearing my gaze away from the scene as amber alerts rang all throughout the neighborhood. Helicopters and sirens were barely heard over the rushing water, a feeble attempt to save people.

Grumbling, I shifted, turning in the bed. The windows were slowly, but surely cracking, but I didn't exactly mind. It wasn't like it was going to wipe out Earth's population anyways.

I whipped out a cracked phone, streaks of the shattered glass running diagonally across the screen, with an old, silicone run down case I found on the road a few years ago.

I traced my finger along the lines, before gently pressing on the home button, multiple amber alerts filling up the home screen, each one basically repeated the same thing.

I clicked on one, and it brought me to an article, one that was written a few minutes ago.

WORST HURRICANE THE WORLD
HAS SEEN?

Scientists throughout the world are thoroughly confused by this whole phenomenon. After much, much work and such a time limit, they have come to a conclusion.

'This is the worst hurricane the world has seen. Ever.' And that isn't just hurricanes. This natural disaster has topped all of the lists in the world, leaving scientists scratching their heads, wondering, "Is this really, natural?'

And that's not even the worst part. Geographic maps, scales, and grids of the world by NASA, has shown one horrific thing people refuse to believe. Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, Antarctica, and Australia have been wiped, out, completely destroyed.

There are barely any traces of the former miles of land and homes of many people. The only continent that's barely holding on, is North America, but we, even are doubting it's going to last throughout the months.

Which has left us wondering one question, "How is Earth ever going to recover from this.. And if it doesn't.. Will the planet we call home even exist anymore?"
