2 weeks later Jamie pov... Today was my dad's funeral...huh i always thought it would be years before I'd say that we found out that it was a cop who shot him see my dad was walking to his house from the store when a cop came from an alley the cop was already chasing a criminal who was african American the cop said he thought my dad was the criminal😒 he is now on trial anyway im wearing this

Mom:hey jay Me:mom..im sorry*tears up*i disrespected you i said something's i didn't mean...i know you didn't push daddy away Mom:baby girl that doesn't matter right now*hugs me*are you okay Me:actually im doing better today...is teo still here Mom:he went to his house this morning he's coming to the funeral Me:really Mom:baby girl you have a good one he cares about you..try and open up*looks at my room*wow Me:oh..yea I'll get it cleaned up when we come back Mom:okay..*kisses my cheek*i love you Me:i love you too
Then hydi came in not before giving my mom a comforting smile then she came and sat next to me
Her:hey Me:hi Her:*hugs me*i miss him so much*sobs a little* Me:shhh...i know..i do too but a wise woman once told me keep your head up and walk through this storm with the people you love...to get to a sunnier day hyd...you told me that Hydi:i know but it still hurts Me:i know Glory:hey is it room on that bed for me?? Me:always Glory:*sits down* us:*hugs her* Hyd:were going to make it Glory*crying*but what if we don't Me:we gonna die trying Glory:okay Us:i love yall
We all walked down and saw some of our relatives and teo ayo zay zavi kandi imprint and key we smiled and we all did a big group hug
Me:*crying*thank yall for being here Eb:welcome/thank you
We all piled into limo and the adults went in another and some were in cars behind us teo grabbed my hand and looked at me and gently smiled and laid my head on his shoulder tears coming down my face
Me:thank you for caring Teo:*kisses my forehead*I'll never stop caring jamie
We arrived at the funeral home and left out the limo And walked into the church And took our seats the preach did his thing and asked if anyone if they wanted to say any words letting go of teo's hand i got up and went to the stand
Me:uh...hi Eb:hi Me:for some of you that my not know me..im jamie im devon's youngest daughter jamie..*cries* ive been through alot over the years my dad has been by my side through it all i wrote a poem for him....*takes out a piece of paper*..........I believe when someone passes away Either a star is born, energy so pure That it creates new worlds Or as the soul releases Shatters into pieces Becoming free flowing thoughts For my mental thesis Maybe we just don't understand The spirits that still walk the land Or whatever the case I believe that we all still remain To share the same space So dad, I know you're listenin' How you been? Oh, I'm doin' fine, just passin' time Submerged in sin sometimes I take a bath And just get all dirty again I try to cleanse my mind, cleanse my soul and get in Into that place you've been No, I'm not tryin' to rush anything I just wanna visit you because I miss you So what you tryin' to say? My imagination been wild since I been a child And since you're laughin' then I take it that good things are happenin'
Eb:crying/clapping
Then i looked at my dad in the casket while crying i walked over and kissed his cheek
Me:i love you daddy
Eb went up to pay their respects i went up to teo and he held me as i was crying
Teo:you should keep on doing that Me:doing what Teo:writing poetry your good at it and it'll help you get rid of stress Me:I'll try
We left the funeral home and went to the burial sight we said our last good byes and walked to the limo and drove home hopefully i was right...good things are happening . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
