WhEN LiFE EnDS

It has been two years since the kidnapping of Hunter, the family has enjoyed peace for a while. The presidential election has just come to a close, a man of the name Doritô Tramp has been elected as a new president. The family didn't live in the country with the new president, so they thought it wouldn't have affected them. After the election many nuclear war threats have been made, until one day it was no longer a threat. True Corea had bombed the Ununited States of America (UnSA).
This shocked the whole world, no one thought it would happen. Skyler took his husband and the kids to the wine cellar in the hopes it would help protect them. They haven't been targeted yet but it was only a matter of time. Skyler started crying so Vulcan consoled him, he said "it will be fine, we will probably be left alone." It had been a few hours since the attack, nothing has happened yet. Enzo had found a box filled with equipment from the time he fought in the army, the box had gas masks, bullet proof vests and a gun with ammunition. Hunter had gone upstairs to the kitchen to grab some food and water for everyone, but that's when he heard a knock at the door. Hunter froze, he quietly made his way to the door. When he looked out he saw a group of men in uniform. They knocked again saying "open up, this is the military!" Hunter opened the door and asked what's going on, they responded with "We are not sure what is currently going on with True Corea, but we are here to ask Enzo for his assistance. We are currently safe so if you would please call him to our presence." Hunter called Enzo upstairs to meet the army people. Enzo said " Hello commander, what's your reason for coming here, sir." The commander responded " I'm sure you've heard of the current state of the UnSA, we are here to ask you to come back to us, and help us fight. I know what you've been through and I know it will be hard but your country needs you. You were the best one on my squad. Please just think about it, we need you, we all do." The commander left a note with his coordinates, then he took his leave. Hunter asked Enzo "So, what are you going to do?" Hunter stated " I have no fucking clue. I don't know if I can go back, I've barely gotten over what happened, and my leg is still weak." Hunter told Enzo " If you go and join them I will too." Enzo smiled a little bit. Hunter and Enzo made their way to the basement to tell their fathers what had happened, as you'd expect Skyler started to sob. Falcon asked the boys " What are you planning to do, I don't want to lose you guys again. Don't answer me yet, give me your answer in the morning, you need to seriously think this over." The parents and Hunter fell asleep, but Enzo couldn't he kept having flashbacks of the time he fought in a war, how fast someone can die, how fast you can lose someone you love. Enzo had a thought " what if I died back then, I would have died with my love and the army wouldn't have dragged my family into this." He had a final thought " I'll do it." Enzo woke up with his brother hovering over his face saying " wake the fuck up before I slap you" Enzo sat up and accidentally hit his forehead into his brothers, they both winced with pain and then started to laugh.  Hunter asked "So what are you planning to do?" Enzo replied " I'm doing it." The family gathered,while holding back his tears Skyler said " what are you going to do?" Enzo answers him " I'm going, it's my responsibility as a member of the military for me to protect the country." He continued " I need to fight for the one I lost, and for the ones everyone else will lose." Hunter spoke " I'm going with him, don't worry about us, if I'm there we will come back." Enzo cut in " Don't jinx us!" Both the boys let out a soft laugh, then came tears. Enzo said " We are going to meet with the commander today, this is probably the last time we will see you before we leave." The family shared a group hug and said their goodbyes. Skyler waved to his children while crying, and Falcon waved and started to cry as they left. The boys had made it to the military base, the commander was standing there waiting for them, he said " I knew you would come, starting today I am your commander once again."
Enzo replied "sir ,yes, sir!" The commander smiled a little. He then yelled " Gather all the troops!" Hunter and Enzo stood side by side as the commander went over the rules, he had told them that they will only train for a month before going into action. The boys had trained the hardest they could, and before they knew it the month was up. The boys were put on a jet and then moved by boat. They had made it to True Corea. The commander had given Enzo and Hunter a special task, their task was to assassinate the leader of True Corea, both of the boys were ranked at the top of everything. The commander had told them " If you don't want to do it, it's fine, but you're the best we have." It was a guilt trip of sorts but the boys agreed to doing it. It had been about a week and the boys have been playing bodyguard for the enemy leader, they had finally decided to do the task. They made their move, Enzo snuck up behind the enemy leader and restrained him as Hunter slit his throat, to keep the people in the hallway from hearing. They let the commander know it's done and to sent a helicopter over. As they made their way to the roof they hear many footsteps following them, the boys began to run. They made it to the roof where the helicopter was hovering, they began to climb the ladder, but then a group of enemy soldiers busted out. The soldiers began to shoot at the boys, Enzo got shot in both legs and the lower left side of this back. Hunter got shot in his right leg and his left shoulder blade. They both made it onto the helicopter, but they were bleeding out Enzo crawled over to his brother and they held each other as the world went black Hunter let out a final word "Goodbye." Enzo said goodbye back to Hunter before he went out cold. The helicopter made its way to the closest hospital out of enemy territory. Back at the house with Falcon and Skyler things were going okay, that was until they heard a knock at the door. Skyler opened the door to see members from True Corea's army out front. The leader of the troop said to Falcon as he shot him "this is for you children killing our great leader." they made their way into the house and found Skyler. Skyler begged "please don't kill me I'll do anything!" The enemy commander said "too late" and let the final gunshot ring. A little while passed and then the parents woke up in a hospital, the doctor had informed them that they barely made it, and that they lost a lot of blood. The doctor let them know that that are stable for now, but it's best to write their wills now just in case. Back in the war zone Enzo and Hunter made it to a field hospital, the doctors did their best to patch the boys up but thing weren't looking good. Both of the boys were in comas while bleeding out. After a few days the war had ended, and the boys were sent back home. The boys laid in their hospital beds both unconscious. The doctors had informed their parents that they had very little chance of surviving, but they will try their best. Both the parents bursts out in tears, knowing they may never see their children again, and how they had an awful childhood, an awful life. I'm the hospital room Enzo and Hunter's beds were beside each other's, while unconscious Enzo reached out for a hand and miraculously Hunter took it.
