I sat down calmly... crossing my legs waiting patiently.... "Father...-" I cut Daiki off "Be quiet please." I said he nodded... it was soon time to head onto the the stage. I took out my dark core... "Disaster Force." I said my clothes changed and my hair was longer.... I walked out of the room.
/On the fight stage/:
Kyoya's POV:
I walked onto the the stage.... I didn't show any excitement or express anything. Gao came out.. we luminized our decks and the fight for the spot of Buddy Champion began.
-halfway through the fight-
Dragon Drei was played, I had Aqualta Gwaneff in my hand, and Azi Dahaka Daeva was on my field.nothing was happening... "My other half you need the core." Azi Dahaka said I have it in my deck- what could he--.... that's when the answer hit me like a bullet to the head. I looked into the crowd seeing Daiki. He jumped down onto the stadium running up to me. "Daiki I-..." he cut me off "It's okay Father.... I knew this would have to happen soon.... I just wish we could spend more time together.." Daiki said tearing up... I clenched the sword in my hand.... 'No.! I can't feel like this not now.! I knew I'd have to do this... I won't feel any regret-- this is for the world I desire..! I'd be willing to sacrifice-.... anything..... even--.... Daiki....' "Go ahead Father... I'm your creation. Even creations fail..." Daiki said with tears falling from his eyes.... I held the sword in my hand aiming at Daiki... my arm was shaking.... I closed my eyes looking away... when I opened my eyes I looked to see the sword through his chest.... I removed it watching him fall to the ground... I dropped my sword... I removed the coat I was wearing wrapping it around his bleeding body... I hugged him and apologized... my body was shaking... I didn't care that a crowd of thousands were seeing this... I continued to hold Daiki.... I looked at him... he smiled.... "Father.... I-... love- you-" Daiki said quietly his eyes slowly closed... I felt it.... heartbreak.... so this is what it feels like... I gently put Daiki down.... I stood up... I felt like a monster... I felt my eyes fill with tears I let one fall... "Transform." I said
Tasuku's POV:
I watched as Kyoya Gaen transformed.... "I am the deity of this world.! I am Deity of the Black Sun, Gaen!" he said he didn't sound or look human anymore.... Gao and Bal went in to attack but they were instantly thrown back.! "We have to help them..!" I said this wasn't a buddyfight anymore... Gaito and Oka nodded... we entered into our Dragon Forces heading to Gao. Oka helped him up and we all attacked Kyoya... we were thrown back... Kyoya went in to attack but stopped... he looked at us.... "Please.... help- me...." he said he then attacked us.... we stood up... and attacked again... Gao went in finishing him.! Kyoya's life dropped to 0. "He did it!! Gao Mikado is the official Buddy Champion!!" Paruko said our Dragon Forces disappeared... we smiled... I looked at Kyoya... he was injured but he walked over to the child. He hugged him.... he was crying.... "Kyoya-..." I said "I know... I have to be arrested... but please.! We have to save him...!" he said begging
/At the hospital/:
Kyoya's POV:
I could feel my leg shaking.... I was trying to calm down.... the doctors came out of operation room. I looked at them... "Please tell me he's okay..!" I said worried "It's hard to say... we stitched up his wound... but- we are unsure of when he'll wake up." the doctor said I nodded slowly... "It's best you wait..." the doctor said "Alright." I said
We all headed outside...
/Outside/:
Kyoya's POV:
I looked to see the American Buddy Police... Oka had handcuffs her hand... she walked up to me....
"I'm sorry but we-" I cut her off "It's okay. After everything I've done I deserve this... and if your worried about Daiki he won't be awake for a while... so don't hesitate... arrest me." I said she nodded putting the handcuffs on my wrists... they pushed me into the back of the truck... I looked at Oka and Tasuku... "Oh and Tasuku, Oka. I want you two to take care of Daiki when he wakes up.... and tell him everything." I said Tasuku nodded... I smiled.
I rested against the wall closing my eyes.... 'Daiki.... I'm sorry.... I'm so so sorry...'
