Tyler and I have been dating for a year now and honestly it's been the best year of my whole life. Everything has been perfect with him even when we fight we come back two times stronger, and I love that about us. I snap out of my thoughts as Tyler pulls over at a park. Him and I were traveling back to los Angeles because we were going to see my family and we were passing through Colorado on our way back.
I ask him, "What are we doing?"
He just giggle and says, "You'll find out."
I smiled back. "Okay." I said smoothly.
He asked me another question. "Do you trust me?"
I nod. "Of course."
He replied back, "Okay, close your eyes."
I do as he says and feel a piece of cloth put around my eyes. All of a sudden, I heard his car door open, and close then mine opens and he grabs my hand and leads me out of the car.
As I get out I trip on the curb and fall into Tyler he catches me before I fall and hit the ground and lifts me back up. He giggles and says sorry, and then pulls me so I am closer to him while we walk. I hear him say something under his breath and shrug it off. He speaks up and says "sit down" I slowly start to sit down with Tyler helping my balance. I noticed a soft surface beneath me and thoughts started running through my head; is this a blanket? What is beneath me. I shrugged it off waiting for Tyler to tell me to take it off. I hear nothing for a few seconds starting to get anxious then Tyler's voice comes out of nowhere saying "take it off" I smile and grab the eye cover taking it off slowly getting my eyes readjust to the light.
I smile as I notice that Tyler has set up a whole picnic area for us complete with a blanket canopy I smile and ask him how he did all this and he replied back "I Know people." I smiled and shrugged knowing Tyler wouldn't give details. Tyler reaches over to the picnic basket grabbing it and bringing it closer to him. He opens it and I see him look at it without doing anything for a while. I ask him " are you ok?" He laughs and says "it's fine..... t-they just forgot something." I smile and say "it's fine this is going to be perfect anyways." He smiles back and says "I hope so" then he grabs some food and drinks out of the picnic basket and lays it down.
Me and Tyler talk for a while enjoying the food and the views talking about our friends, pets and everything that comes to mind we were there for about two hours when we noticed two deer walking up to our picnic sight I smiled and said "Tyler look what's coming over" he smiles and says "they probably want your food" I smile back and say "good thing they came to me then ." I slowly get up with food in my hand for both of them. The two deer pause for a second deciding if they should trust me. After they realised I wasn't gonna harm them they crept closer with their noses pointed up sniffing the air.
I hold out both of my hands with the food in them both deer start to eat from my hands. I smile as the deer tickle my hands with their noses. I start to pet them after they are done feeling their soft fur. I turn back around towards Tyler when I notice him on his knees with a black box in his hands.
I gasp as he starts to speak. "Y/n we have been dating for a year now, and I have known since day one I wanted to be with you forever. You are perfect and everything I have ever wanted and I was wondering.. Will you marry me?" I smile the biggest smile and said, "Yes Tyler, I love you so much!" He smiles and slips the ring onto my finger. I hug him as he gets back up and he looses his balance and falls backwards me landing on him back onto the soft blankets.
His blue eyes meet mine and I lose myself in them for a while. His hand comes up to my face pulling me down as our lips meet I feel sparks fly. Even after a year of dating he still makes me feel the same way and now that we are engaged it's gonna feel the same forever.
