I had to stay away from Zane.
He was such a nice person too. Could he not see what Sheila did to people? Maybe he was such a good person that he just accepted people for who they were. Or maybe he just ignored her. I hadn't seen them talking before too much, unless it was mandatory by a school project.
Zane walked in casually and looked around the room until his eyes landed on me. His gaze never left mine as he made his way across the room and into the seat next to me. I looked away but I could feel Zane staring at me. "You're welcome." He spoke up.
I turned my head to face him confused. "Huh?" This was the first time anybody had sat with me willingly. It was nice but. . . different. "For the ride, you're welcome." He cleared up with a smile.
"Oh, thanks." I nodded understanding him. The teacher walked in closing off any chance of a longer conversation and shut the classroom door shut. It was good though, cause I wouldn't know what to say, especially to Zane.
I didn't want to further embarrass myself.
I stayed far away from the cafeteria in case Sheila tried to do anything to me today. Appearing to school in Zane's car was enough to get some embarrassing accident from Sheila and her friends.
I wasn't even that hungry anyway. As the clock ticked closer to the next class, I started walking to my locker. "So you don't take my offer, but you took his?"
I roll my eyes at the familiar voice and quicken my pace. My injuries didn't let me go to my full speed unfortunately.
I decided to bite the bullet. "What are you talking about, Axel?"
"Zane. You didn't get into my car because it's not as fancy as his. Yeah?" He walked right next to me easily. His tall frame towering over me with an easy grin.
"What? No," I looked anywhere but him. That wasn't the reason I rejected his offer. I just didn't trust him, was all.
"Sure," I heard him mutter under his breath. But before I could answer, he spoke up again.
"Nice hair." Axel chuckled lifting a piece of my frizzy hair.
I knew my hair was frizzy and looked funny, but I couldn't do anything about it, I had left all my hair products at home.
"Piss off, Axel." I swatted his hand away and kept walking towards my locker annoyed.
"Use any products?" He asked cheekily. I rolled my eyes as I got to my locker. Does he not know what 'piss off' means? Ugh, he's so irritating. More irritating then my locker, why can't I get it open!
I repeatedly sighed while I struggled to get my locker open as Axel stood behind me and chuckled. "You're a junior and you still don't know how to open a locker?"
I gave him a deathly stare for a few moments." Oh I'm so scared!" he waved his arms in sarcasm.
"Don't start!" I spat annoyed.
"You started it angel." He smiled mischievously as he crossed his arms over his broad chest. I rolled my eyes in response.
I started putting in the combination again which I was struggling with, which only frustrated me even more.
"Damn it," I muttered, kicking my locker slightly angered.
"Need any help?" Axel asked quirking an eyebrow.
