[5] First Impressions

AVERY-ROSE 

"Hello Liam." I replied to him.

"And hello Ellie." He smiles to her. She quickly waves and hides her face in Adam's neckThe girl beside Liam gives me a dirty look. Do you ever look at someone and think 'wow you're a bitch'? Ya that's how I felt when you look at this girl.

"Avery this is Ashlyn, Ash this is Avery-Rose." He introduces. I put my hand in front of me for her to shake it. She looks down at my hand and back to my eyes. I awkwardly put my hand under the table.

Adam puts Avery in the high chair and I pass her the colouring book from her backpack. There was an awkward silence for a moment.

"So Liam how did the two of you meet?" I ask trying my best to stay pleasant.

"Well it was at one of our shows and we bumped into each other and well the rest is history. " he smiles. She still looks sour. Before the conversation continues, the waiter comes. We all place our orders and he leaves.

"So Aveey, you have a boyfriend?" Liam asks, and I can tell Ashlyn is really uncomfortable.

"Yah it was that boy she was making out with behind the desks very unprofessional." Wow, great first impression Ash. Liam glares at his girlfriend but she shakes it off and turns back to me. "Are you even allowed to do that?" She asks.

"Well, Ben and I don't usually do that." I blush.

"I'm surprised, Ben isn't one for PDA" Adam pipes in.

"I wike Benji!" Ellie cheers.

"You like," I correct her.

"Oh look, she's in mommy mode." Ashlyn jokes. "Mum by day, Slut by night." She giggles.

"Shut the f-"

"Adam, Ellie." I remind him before he can say something in front of her.

"Just stating the obvious." She shrugs. "Is Benji not her father?" She fakes a gasp. I'm literally trying my hardest not to knock her out.

"Daddy is away, I meet him soon." Ellie says without looking up from her colouring book.

"You've never met him darlin?" Liam asks her.

"No. Mommy says I will one day soon." Ashlyn gives me a satisfied look.

"Yes darling you will. " I smile at her. Liam's face is unreadable.

"So Liam, tell me how's the world?" Adam changes the subject. The waiter brings us our food and we all eat. My brother and Liam get into conversation about sports and Ashlyn stays on her phone. I quietly sit and eat my food.

"Ave you still want me to watch El tonight?" Adam snaps me out of my thoughts.

"If you could." I smile at him. "Ellie how were your hot cakes?" I ask her.

"Yummmy!"

"I'm glad bae!" Adam says petting her hair. She glares at him.

"Mommy did my hair nice. You mess up!" She growls. I laugh at her.

"Go ahead Adam, fix her hair." I laugh as Adam try's to put the head band in. He finally gets it. By the end Ellie is over it and goes back to colouring.

"I need to use the ladies room." Ashlyn announces. Cool princess go sit on your thrown. After she is gone I feel a huge weight lifted.

"So Liam, why aren't you staying with your mum during your stay?" I dare to ask.
